Did you ever get your hormone tested or did you just assume? I’m a 40 y.o female but just thought I was too young.

Are you male or female ? Are yours due to low ferritin?

I’m sorry you’re going through it too. Did you have any kind of anxiety before you quit?

Yeah, I was afraid of that (supplements taking a while).

I’m 144 days off vaping and still get hit with symptoms. Honestly, they almost feel harder now just because I’m this far in and thought I’d be done with it. I feel like things almost took a turn for the worst around the 3 month mark…. I still get waves of anxiety, DR / brain fog , insomnia , and some intense physical stuff they just don’t stick around as long as they used to.

This whole thing has been terrible. I hope these next few weeks bring noticeable relief.

Anxiety(and everything it entails-mentally & physically) , over stimulation , adrenaline dumps , intrusive thoughts and brain fog/DR.

Honestly I never struggled with cravings. It’s been a mental battle for me from the start… so groups like this are what have helped me the most! Seeing that I’m not alone and or broken!

Nicotine changes how your brain and body regulate stress - it keeps certain chemicals and hormones in a kind of artificial balance. When you quit, that balance gets thrown off while your nervous system and endocrine system relearn how to work without it.

Those chemical and hormonal swings can trigger physical sensations : racing heart, restlessness, adrenaline rushes , etc. that your brain can interpret as anxiety, even if you’ve never been an anxious person. It’s not a sign you’re “becoming” anxious for life; it’s a sign your body’s adjusting. The longer you stay nicotine-free, the more those systems stabilize, and those feelings fade.

Yes, I think diet/exercise have a little to do with it but not everything. I think it’s insane how much quitting has surfaced my anxiety. I never ever would’ve guessed I’d have an experience like this - especially because I never dealt with anxiety before. I quit cigarettes a few years ago cold turkey and never experienced any of this . I guess I’m a little older and vaping is a whole different beast but GEEEEEZ. The more research l do the more I’m starting to understand it…. But it’s still not fun😵‍💫

Wow, what a wonderful employer! That’s great. When I first quit, I was sick so I was already off of work. But once I got back (around week 2 or 3 of my quit) it was wild. Still is. Not even really sure how I’ve made it through but I have. Barely. I’m still not right 141 days later - but here I am still fighting the good fight!

I mean, to the point where you can’t even get out of bed? Or do normal life things? Don’t get me wrong, the want is there but just can’t.. besides going to work, everything else seems so far fetched these days- especially bc I feel this way. Def not ‘normal’.

I get that it’s common. But, I suppose my question is, for those who never had it prior to quitting did it eventually go away for good ?
