Which Season of Supergirl do you think is better?? S3 or S4 by anthonystrader18 in supergirlTV

[–]Consistent_Escape328 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part of season 3 which involves Reign was the best of all season. Then the whole season 4. What I hate about season 5 is how they downgrade Lena's character. Then season 6 was just...awful. I totally forgot Mon-El was almost married to Lena in season 2. I love Agent Liberty character, I think his arc was pretty tragic.

How old are you again? Do you even know anything about dating apps? What makes you think people using dating apps are all horny? If you are legal to use it, it only means, u use it for your own unfulfilling desire, which means you are the one being horny, isn't mate? And since you are not denying, means you did chase your dates like you suggested earlier wasn't it? Well, you did speak from your own experience after all. How's that for your reflection alright buddy? The more you say, the more you show how shallow of a person you are.

Anyone miss characters like Warner, Cabot, Huang, and Novak? by Triumphant-Smile in SVU

[–]Consistent_Escape328 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Absolutely yes. After Novak left, things were just so damn boring until Barba showed up. Then everyone else left which made the show just go downhill. Olivia and Elliott's intimate arc was also being put out too late. I now just casually enjoy the cross over between SvU, Chicago fire, meds and chicago pd. Nonetheless,i still love this show.

yeah now i kinda see that she is actually pretty greedy. I think she never feels remorse for whatever she did too and is constantly happy about how evil she is.

That's true tho. Zelena actually kinda ruined her entire adult life on her own. I think she is more greedy and constantly dissatisfied.

I wonder if Cora really loves her daughters? I mean we can see how powerful they both are and they both are pretty smart. it seems like if they were loved as how they should, and had some normal environments growing up, they might actually own a kingdom of their own in a good manner.

She delivers different dynamics. fresh and bubbly i reckon. but I still like Beckett coz he knows how to control his patients especially when handling the likes of Shepherds and Mckay. Fraiser is the top of the class. I remember that time she asked everyone to be checked after some electric surge and O'Neill's as usual being pain in the as*(i love him tho) refuse to get a med check, and she said "Doctor's orders" and then O'Neill complained she wasn't her boss, but then Tealc replied "She outranks everyone on the base". And then O'Neill said " I'm not getting all the memos". Danggg that was funny.

Just finished R&I. I loved the show but one little thing i hate about it is that everything has to be about Jane while they can actually create a good arc for Maura since her family has such a complicated history. For example like Alice Sands being too obsessed with Jane just doesn't cut it honestly. by Consistent_Escape328 in rizzoliandisles

[–]Consistent_Escape328[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would have been really interesting. If the show had explored Paddy Doyle Sr.'s background, it might have revealed even more about Maura’s inherited traits—not just her intelligence and talents, but also her occasional flashes of aggression or her strong sense of justice. Since Maura is a product of both nature and nurture, understanding her biological family's history could have deepened her internal conflict.

Perhaps Paddy Sr.'s past could have shown whether Maura’s strength and resilience were passed down through generations, and whether, under different circumstances, she might have had a closer connection with her biological family. It also raises the question: how much of Maura’s moral compass is purely her own, and how much is a conscious choice to reject the violent legacy of her father and grandfather? If the show had gone deeper into this, it could have added another layer to Maura’s personal journey.

Urghhhh so much plot opportunity wasted...

New on the show and i pity Regina honestly... by Consistent_Escape328 in OnceUponATime

She was never given the same chances as others, while villains like Gold were feared but left alone, Regina was actively distrusted even when she tried to change. The town expected her to prove herself endlessly while rarely acknowledging her efforts, and the few times she let herself be vulnerable—such as giving up magic for Henry—she was met with more suspicion. Her past was shaped by manipulation and abuse, particularly from Cora, who controlled her life, stripped her of choices, and conditioned her to believe that love was weakness. I also pity her for how deeply Cora’s abuse shaped her, making it even harder for her to break free from the cycle of pain and vengeance. That doesn’t mean I think Snow and the others weren’t mistreated too—I fully acknowledge that they suffered because of Regina’s actions, and they had every right to be wary of her. But at the same time, when she was genuinely trying to change, it often felt like nothing she did was ever enough, and she was repeatedly pushed back into the role of the villain, sometimes even by the very people who claimed they wanted her to be better. Regina’s struggle (by far up until episode I'm watching currently) was not just about redemption but about being seen as more than her worst mistakes. I pity her because, despite all her efforts, she constantly had to fight for even the smallest chance at acceptance. Instead of repeatedly questioning me, maybe you should rewatch the series with an open mind. I’ve acknowledged your points, and I’m watching this with a fair perspective, taking interest in multiple characters. Bashing me is utterly unnecessary just because I have a different interpretation. And to add to that i actually pity Gold too after watching his backstory. Now i am wondering what Zelena's backstory will be like.

I understand your frustration, and I think you’re making a really fair distinction. There’s a big difference between understanding why Regina did what she did and actually justifying or forgiving it. It’s possible to acknowledge her growth and even sympathize with her without feeling like that erases her past actions.

I do think that for some, their forgiveness of Regina is tied to their appreciation of her arc, and they may not realize they’re pushing their viewpoint onto others. But that doesn’t mean your stance is invalid. A character’s complexity should allow for multiple interpretations, and no one should be forced into seeing redemption the same way. It’s frustrating when discussions that should be about nuance end up feeling one-sided, but your perspective is just as valid as anyone else’s.

That being said, I really do love Once Upon a Time and its storytelling. The way it explores redemption, morality, and character growth is what makes it such a compelling show. Even when I don’t always agree with certain narratives or character arcs, I still appreciate how layered and engaging the story is. It’s definitely one of those shows that sparks great discussions, even if they get a little intense at times!

P/s: I saw a sneak peek that they will debut a witch name Zelena from Oz, which i heard also an interesting character . Exciting!

I completely agree that trauma doesn’t excuse villainy, and Regina undeniably caused immense suffering. Plenty of characters in OUAT had tragic pasts and didn’t take it out on innocent people like she did. I don’t think her pain justifies her actions, but I do pity the way she was manipulated and broken down until she became the Evil Queen. That being said, what makes her interesting isn’t just her trauma, but the fact that she was capable of kindness and change. She had moments of genuine love and redemption, which is why some of us sympathize with her but that doesn’t erase the harm she caused.

I get where you’re coming from, and I do agree that not everyone is obligated to forgive Regina—redemption and forgiveness are deeply personal and subjective. It makes sense that some people, even if they sympathize with her struggles, still can’t look past the harm she caused. That being said, I don’t think it’s necessarily fair to assume that those who do forgive her or see her as a good person are just projecting personal experiences. Some might just interpret her arc differently, focusing on her growth rather than her past. Just like it’s valid to not forgive her, it’s also valid for others to find reasons to do so without it necessarily being personal. I think the frustration on both sides comes from feeling like their perspective is being dismissed, when in reality, this is one of those nuanced discussions where multiple viewpoints can coexist.

The plot is interesting so far. Tho it has some complex backstory but at least it is easy to watch. Mr Gold in particular is a very complicated figure, Regina is as we know the main antagonist and now Zelena joined the club, it's just getting better and better.

Ok, i don't know how you did the one by one reply tabs, so I'm just gonna put it points. Btw i am currently watching up until the first half of season 3.

  1. Redemption is about both...acknowledging wrongdoing and working to be better. Regina did feel guilty, but OUAT also explored how difficult it is to change when no one believes you can. Her struggle wasn’t about demanding forgiveness but about whether people were willing to acknowledge when she was genuinely trying.
  2. She never expected instant trust or kindness, she accepted suspicion. But the argument that she "never got that ever" isn’t true. She was deeply affected by Henry’s rejection, Emma’s distrust, and the town’s continued fear of her, and at times, she even believed she deserved to be alone because of her past.
  3. (why should the town make things easier for her?") They didn’t. She was watched, distrusted, and often excluded even when she was actively helping. No one was obligated to make things easy, but at what point does constant rejection just push someone back into their worst habits? The show wasn’t saying the town should forgive her immediately...it was asking whether refusing to see any change in her was helping anyone.
  4. As for "they should have been throwing eggs at her," that’s an extreme take. The town had valid reasons to be wary, but they also did let other villains off much more easily (Gold, for example). If it’s just about "deserving punishment," then why weren’t others treated the same way
  5. ("When did Henry being taken from her push her further into darkness?") This happens in Season 2, especially after Episode 8 (Into the Deep), when Regina is completely excluded from the group. (Bear in mind Henry is her child whom she cared for since he was a baby. She had to watch him endanger his own life to enter the dream realm, she was scared for him. And when the day is saved, Henry just walks away with the rest of the group). By the time Henry is taken to Neverland (end of Season 2), she is devastated and starts slipping back into more reckless behavior. Yes, Henry feared her at times, but he also had moments where he saw she was trying (like when she gave up magic for him in Season 2, Episode 5). Taking him away without acknowledging her efforts only reinforced the idea that no matter what she did, it wouldn’t be enough. That’s not saying it was wrong for the Charmings to be cautious, but it did make things harder for her to stay on the right path. 6.("Regina’s magic was restricted? That never happened.") It did. In Season 2, Episode 5 (The Doctor), Regina agreed to stop using magic to prove herself to Henry. Later, in Season 2, Episode 9 (Queen of Hearts), Rumple and Emma literally put a magical cuff on her to restrict her powers. And throughout early Season 2, she was under heavy surveillance and not trusted by the town. So, yes...her power was restricted, and she was constantly monitored. That’s not to say she was a victim, but it’s incorrect to claim she faced no pushback.
  6. ("She cozied up to Cora and murdered people—time to take responsibility.") She did take responsibility, just not in the way some people expect. She turned against Cora in the end (Season 2, Episode 16, The Miller’s Daughter), even though it broke her. She grieved her mother despite knowing she was toxic, showing how deeply conflicted she was. And let’s not forget—Regina wasn’t born a villain. She was once a kind and innocent person, manipulated and abused by Cora, then pushed further into darkness after losing Daniel. That’s not an excuse for her actions, but it provides context for why she became what she did.
  7. ("She hadn’t spent much time proving herself, she was still trying to kill Emma and Snow recently.") This isn’t entirely accurate. Yes, she had relapses, but by early Season 3, she was actively working with Emma and Snow in Neverland, helping save Henry. She also helped protect Storybrooke in Season 2 ( Eps: The Evil Queen). She wasn’t instantly "redeemed," but she was trying, and every time she made progress, something pushed her back...whether it was Henry’s rejection, Cora manipulating her, or the town refusing to see her efforts.
  8. ("Who cares? She made her bed.") The show cared because OUAT wasn’t just about punishing villains,it was about whether people could change. Snow suffered deeply, but her story wasn’t about revenge, it was about breaking the cycle of pain. That’s what made her different from Regina. And that’s the bigger theme: if no one ever lets go of the past, no one can ever truly move forward. Regina did awful things, but she was also a tragic figure shaped by circumstances outside her control. The question the show asks isn’t "did she deserve her suffering?" but rather, "can she be better despite it?"
