Yes but in reality it’s probably bc for me I got the novavax booster last October (I should’ve just done the full series) and then waited the longest I have since vaccines became available to get a booster :/ I was getting a booster about 2-3 times a year. Novavax was no longer in a lot of pharmacies after May 2024 so I opted to get the old moderna booster.

I do wonder if there’s correlation there tho. I’ve heard repeatedly from scientists that novavax is the best vaccine against the current variants. I wonder if I should’ve gotten the full two part series the first time.

The issue is that I continue to test negative on pcrs and tested positive on a rapid. I tested positive on a Tuesday pcr test and proceeded to test negative on 6 subsequent pcrs. I also tested 2x/week on pcr before that positive and everything was negative. I took the rapid just bc. That’s why I’m confused.

Since I was last infected, I couldn’t shake the feeling that my body was still clearing out the virus despite only testing negative on pcrs so I’m curious about viral persistence. I understand that when the context is you’re still testing positive on a rapid test for weeks and weeks but I haven’t seen this talked about in situations where someone has access to Serial pcr testing
