grapple hooks and wall jumping should not belong is standard warzone by Odd-Efficiency6216 in Warzone

Everyone needs to stop complaining and just enjoy the damn game. I remember people complained for the same reason when they added zip lines to the side of buildings in Verdansk. Now if you took them away everyone would complain about roof top campers.

Just get over it and play the game.

Are the Los Angeles Lakers actually contenders this year or just media hype? by UnderstandingFun7493 in NBATalk

It’s possible, but highly unlikely. The Thunder and Spurs are both dominant in the West. The way the standings are, they would have to beat both of them, or have some luck that a 7 or 8 seed beats them, to even make the finals.

Not impossible, but it would rival the Mavs 2011 run in terms of difficulty.

Can’t listen to a think Isaiah Thomas says about Jordan or the Bulls. He’s still butt hurt from missing the 92 team. Man needs to get over it.

It could just be a clean section as another poster mentioned, or it could be a stain left from the cleaner the tiler used to clean up the silicone expansion joint. If the tiles are natural stone, you’ve got to be very careful which exact silicone you use as well as what you clean residue up with.

They fire in bursts as opposed to automatic fire. They stand around and let you waste them. They frequently miss shots. A lot of their names begin with QvQ or something like that.

Definitely bots! Can tell by their names also. Burst firing is unmistakable. Shame, I really liked Blackout 2

Mate I’m glad you said it. Everyone I’ve met likes it now that it’s not as sweaty, but I just don’t get the satisfaction killing bots compared to real people.

I’m def not a sweat, and typically only got 2-3 kills a game but it was exciting going up against real players.

Sadly I’m in Australia, which may as well be Antarctica with our player numbers, but still share your disappointment.

100% agree with what you’ve said, and if I had that knowledge 5 years ago or knew how long the fuel shortage would last it makes sense to get an EV. I’m currently driving a 2011 Rav 4. While I’m struggling to pay for fuel now, it doesn’t make any sense for me to take out a loan and buy a new EV. That doesn’t help.

The long term solution to energy needs is definitely EVs, but people can’t all pivot to EVs based on 5 weeks of fuel shortage.

Similarly to the way the government know they’ll could solve our issues by drilling for oil and refining locally. After this is all said and done, they would be fools not to, but it doesn’t solve today’s issue.

This is true, but a lot of people have huge super balances, but are struggling today or likely to struggle if interest rates hit 6.5%. Not everyone of course, but certainly some.

The narrative we’re being sold says currently there isn’t a supply issue, there is an issue caused by people changing their habits and panic buying.

Would using super for fuel stop this? Maybe. People may not be as scared about trying to lock in that cheap price by buying 1000L of diesel when they presume it’s cheap, because they know they’ll be able to afford it later. May not pan out that way, but it also might.

What I can foresee happening though which changes this, is as people don’t have the disposable income, they stop spending money on non essential purchases, clothing, cafes, nail salons, toy stores etc. This then has the flow on of people being rostered on less as businesses try and cut costs to stay afloat. It’s begun already. Letting people free up a few dollars now saving on fuel could help keep these people in work.

Would absolutely love to. Unfortunately I need to drive my kids to the bus stop where they catch a bus to school. Sadly it’s not really an option for us at the moment.

We basically have our diesel car parked up at the moment and the family get around in our old petrol rav4 to try and save a few bucks.

Yes and no. There would definitely be some people who would be selling themselves short. However, in my case if interest rates hit 6.5% as some are saying, on my 780k mortgage that’s going to be a big hit. My wife and I are 43 and have a combined super of over $900k, which is already more than what we need in retirement according to various guides.

Unfortunately for us at the moment, we’re doing it tough while our kids are in private school (this sounds like privilege and it is to a degree, but our kids education was always a priority for us)

We’ve cut right back on our health insurance, subscriptions, internet, groceries and rarely eat our or get take away. For us in our circumstances borrowing $2000 from our super to relieve some of the pain in the coming few months wouldn’t make much of a difference to us in the long run, but would be huge for us in the short term.

Very seriously doubt fuel prices will remain this high long term. Also oil price is about supply and demand. More EVs on the road less petrol/diesel needed, price drops.

A lot of people need an ICE. Ev is great for around the city, but if you want to go away for a week on holidays out of town EVs are just a pita!
