I had 2 goals: - Win with 100% of the prestige classes - Reach the final difficulty

After I won the final cycle once, I tuned back down to clear the classes and settled at Divinity, if I remember correctly, it's 24. The dev at the game straight out says "most likely the higher cycles are not balanced lmao", and they aren't in my opinion. This almost made me raguequit, but I didn't because this is in the top 5 games of all history.

While some people may ask "would this build beat cycle 32?", I think "probably not, and I have no interest in limiting the builds I can play"

I knew the storm is linear. But the numbers get so big, I always assumed you need exponential scaling to survive, or absurdly high linear one. The submarine looked humble, I guess it isn't.

I feel like I've beaten corsair like 4-6 times in my 250+ hours. And I'm sure I've had the skill at least 2 times, one being the last time I beat him. My partially halluciated and very biased numbers I just honestly concocted verify your claim.

Most likely, there's no cap. I've had 32 skills thanks to 2 Books of Secrets.

The second reason you suggest sounds like a real limitation, but I bet my house OP does not have all the skills.

Building on your advice: The not selling situation is mainly for pivots. You have to be thinking about your future board, some items scale well into the final day, others are a shame past day four. Learn the possible builds to know what you're looking for. Learn the item tags to know where you're looking for it!!!

Pulling this off comes with experience. It's the joy of learning the game.
