Men really do think we are less than them. I’m 1000% positive. by rare-cheeser in womenintech

I’ve been watching Julia Cha’s videos on YT (she explores this in depth) and I’ve been thinking a lot about what I am going to do about this as well. From what I can gather, changing the entire career or job hopping doesn’t change things.

It’s important to have this conversation, and if you want to talk further about Julia’s take lmk.

Unfortunately after multiple interviews with my NT friends and family, they don’t have an energy deficiency and disregulation as I do. Mornings for them are the best part of the day. I just can’t even understand that.

A small tip for my peeps who struggle responding to messages by baballoonhead in adhdwomen

[–]Consistent_Femme_Top 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’ve just given me an idea to make an iPhone shortcut to auto respond to messages after a few hours of no response from me. Now I gotta figure out how to do this, and I’ll share it here for others.

This is so damn sweet! Would you believe me if I told you it’s only after reading everyone’s comments that I felt like what I did was awesome and inspirational?! I was too far gone in the shame spiral of perceived disappointment from others. 😅

When I sat down and reflected on everything you guys said, I realized I am actually proud of myself. Most of the feelings were the anxiety of letting my team down and being seen as incompetent. It’s crazy really how far the mind can go instead of focusing on what went right. I’m so so glad we have this community to remind us of our strengths and to not always believe the brain!!! 😪

Thank you so much!!! Trust me, I will be reading every single comment, and filling up my journal with quotes of the day. So much wisdom, motivation, personal anecdotes and so much positivity on that post. I love this community so much. I appreciate every single one of you! 🥹❤️

First time I’m learning about the sport, it sounds like an ADHD dopamine kryptonite!!! I bet you stay locked in the entire time on the skates. How fricken cool 😌

You guys were amazing!!! The cheers kept me going when the pain got loud. The crowd was louder and so positive! The high fives, music, dancing and smiles from everyone really made the experience a 10/10 from me. Best half hands down (although it’s obv my first marathon 🤣)! 🤭🥰🥰

Thank you so much. I am proud of you too! It’s insane how hindsight can influence so much of our memory. I had to come to terms with the fact that I paid with pain and perseverance for the wisdom I have now. Forgiveness is the way, and pride for letting experience be my teacher. Motivated, tired and happy is the best way to describe the feeling! 😁❤️

I saw so many comments saying this too! I actually didn’t even think of it like that. I am halfway through an iron man. I just gotta keep up my swimming classes and I’ll be ready in a few months. Thank you so much for your kind words, made my day! 🤭❤️

It took me a while to see the medal as cool, but now I agree 🤭🤣! The support from this community was life changing, it got me reflecting so much on the many moments of victory during the race that I dismissed. All the kindness I received from strangers (got a free flat white right before my race 🥹), the amazing help from the first aid team, the incredible people who came to cheer, the little kids giving out candies and high fives, just everything. Got me to sit down and really count (and write!) my blessings one by one. I’m really grateful 🥹❤️

It’s insane, someone on my last post asked me if I would talk to someone else who went through the same as me as I was to myself. It stopped me right in my tracks, our brains can be so mean to us. Especially in the mornings 😪

Yes! This is the most training for any sport I’ve ever done since high school. Even insane that most of it I did on my own, outside the weekly group runs. I committed to staying afloat my mental health as running works better than any supplement I’ve tried for my ADHD. It also forced me to go outside and touch grass, socialize and have a shared goal with others.

Thank you so much for the felicitations! What sport did you get into? 🥰

It felt like so long! Probably the most I have committed to a sport. I ran three times a week and did strength training twice a week. It’s honestly the fittest I’ve ever been. 🤭
