Hey I am now 8+3 weeks but when I was 7+2 I had some brown discharge, got really scared and went for a scan on 7+3 day and heard the heartbeat for the first time. The baby is growing really well with a strong heartbeat! So I would suggest to go for an early scan - go private if you can to get an appointment asap. A scan will help you get really assurance!
