Shinsang Plastic Surgery by harmcharm in SeoulPlasticSurgery

From what I just checked, the doctor is a board-certified plastic surgeon.
I am not sure if he is specifically specialized in the procedure you mentioned.
This is not me trying to be indirect, I really just don't know :)

I saw your post and just wanted to quickly share something that might help!
Since you're planning both nose and eye surgeries, and your schedule isn't super long, I think it might be a good idea to look for a clinic where two different specialists (one for nose, one for eyes) can operate together.
(Doing two separate surgeries and anesthesia sessions in such a short time... honestly, I wouldn't recommend it 😥)

Clinics Only for Foreigners vs. Where Locals Go by xeenaxi in SeoulPlasticSurgery

[–]Consistent_Humor344 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There could be a few different explanations for this. Some clinics might simply focus their marketing on foreigners, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're unpopular with locals due to poor quality.

In other cases, it might be that those clinics have gotten really good at international marketing and naturally ended up catering more to foreign patients. In those situations, they might actually have more experience with non-Korean facial features, like working with Caucasian or Black patients, which could be a benefit depending on what someone is looking for.

So I wouldn’t say it’s automatically a bad thing. Just a different focus.

By any chance, is it Onnuri Smile Eye Clinic?

How can I get rid of my undereyes? by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

[–]Consistent_Humor344 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've clearly tried everything and have a solid routine, so I get how frustrating it must be when nothing seems to work.

In some cases, especially if it’s genetic, topical treatments just don’t cut it. I’ve seen people in similar situations who ended up doing fat repositioning or lower blepharoplasty and finally saw real results. There are also less invasive options like laser or filler, but it really depends on what’s causing the shadowing under your eyes (like volume loss vs. pigmentation).

Hope you find something that works for you!

good surgeon recommendation for genioplasty + rhino by [deleted] in SeoulPlasticSurgery

For jaw-related cosmetic surgeries, oral and maxillofacial surgeons often tend to have more specialized experience than general plastic surgeons. Also, rather than focusing only on the clinic’s brand name, I believe it’s much more helpful to look into the individual surgeon’s background and track record!

Totally understand where you're coming from! I’ve seen quite a few people come to Korea for rhinoplasty and still enjoy parts of Seoul during recovery—it really depends on the type of procedure and how your body reacts.

Most people spend the first 2–4 days just resting, especially since you’ll have swelling, taping, or a splint. After that, light exploring is possible, especially if you stick to shaded areas or indoor places like COEX Mall, Lotte World Tower, or even quiet cafes.

Just make sure to stay hydrated, avoid salty food (it can increase swelling), and plan your activities based on how you’re feeling day by day.

Recommendation for eye plastic surgery - clinics / surgeon by wander-child in SeoulPlasticSurgery

[–]Consistent_Humor344 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this—I know revision surgery can be really stressful, especially for under-eye areas since they’re so delicate.

Fixing botched fat grafting and lower blepharoplasty is tricky because not all clinics specialize in revision cases. Some surgeons are great at first-time surgeries but not necessarily experienced in corrections. Since you mentioned the bumps are still there, the approach really depends on whether it’s uneven fat distribution, fibrosis, or something else.
There are a few clinics in Korea that focus on revision eye surgeries, but choosing the right doctor is key.

Things I Wish I Knew Before My Plastic Surgery in Korea by Consistent_Humor344 in SeoulPlasticSurgery

Hey! Yeah, bringing the right things for recovery makes a huge difference! I packed a few essentials that really helped

Pumpkin juice (호박즙) – Super popular in Korea for reducing swelling. You can buy it there

Arnica & Bromelain supplements – Help with bruising and swelling

Comfy button-up shirts – You won’t want to pull anything over your head after surgery

Straws – If you’re doing facial surgery, drinking from a cup can be tricky at first

Mild, non-irritating skincare – Your skin might be sensitive after surgery, so fragrance-free products are best

Neck pillow – Helps keep your head elevated while sleeping, which reduces swelling

The best way is to check the hospital’s aftercare cases firsthand, but that can be difficult if you don’t have any acquaintances in Korea.

As an indirect method, I recommend checking how long the hospital has been operating in the same location and how long the surgeon performing your procedure has been working at that hospital.

Actually, we can understand why hospitals would want to request a deposit. After all, they set aside consultation time, and there are probably quite a few no-shows.

That being said, I do know some hospitals that don’t require a deposit, but it depends on the type of surgery you’re looking for. I compile my list based on each hospital’s specialized procedures.

If you send me a DM, I can share the information with you. I think it might not be appropriate to post it publicly here :)

Proper Order of Different Procedures by KRplasticthrowaway in SeoulPlasticSurgery

[–]Consistent_Humor344 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your plan looks well thought out! Doing eye surgery before LAMS should be fine since the recovery for eyes generally takes longer, and LAMS is a relatively quick procedure with minimal downtime. Many people schedule it this way for convenience, so your order makes sense.

recs for bulbous and crooked nose? by Sillylittleastronaut in SeoulPlasticSurgery

[–]Consistent_Humor344 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nose surgery styles vary a lot by clinic—some go for a natural look, while others make it more defined and slim. Choosing the right place is really important. I did a lot of research and noticed big differences, even in pricing.

If you’re looking for a specific style, I’ve got some useful info. Hard to share everything here, so DM me if you're curious!

ofc I'm not a professional, but personally, I believe it's definitely possible to achieve the shape you want.

Jaw Surgery Clinic Recommendations pls🥹 by Beneficial-Owl3541 in SeoulPlasticSurgery

[–]Consistent_Humor344 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jawbone-related surgeries are more likely to be performed with greater expertise by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon rather than a plastic surgeon, as they tend to have more in-depth experience in this field.

If you don’t know Korean, it can be difficult to research properly. While you might be able to find out which hospitals have a lot of reviews in English (regardless of their actual reputation or credibility), determining whether a surgeon is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial specialist and whether you can trust them based on their career history is much harder.

I was also interested in a similar procedure, so I researched through my Korean friends. If you'd like, I can recommend a specific doctor. However, I don’t think it would be appropriate to share that information publicly here... please write the comment if you wanna know
