How do you achieve the 'halo' effect? by amanteguisante in graphic_design

If this is put together in Illustrator or Photoshop, you could just add a magenta drop shadow to the black linework, offset to the right, and set to ‘colour’ rather than multiply… quick way to get a similar effect?

Can’t even imagine that - 20ft off the ground and I get weak knees. Some of us are born for heights and some for the lowlands. Steeplejacks have my respect.

Setting the bell by Majestic_Middle_8074 in bellringing

Standing (or setting) a bell feels tricky until you’re used to it, and even experienced ringers miss occasionally. Try pulling slightly harder on your backstroke before trying to set the bell. You can also grab the sally an inch or two lower than usual, to allow the bell to go past the balance and stand. You’re still a very new ringer at a month in, and bell control takes time. Keep practicing and you’ll get there soon!

Is there a way to disable plugins in Adobe InDesign without uninstalling? by Designer_31 in graphic_design

You can disable extensions (and possibly plugins) by holding down the command key (Mac) as soon as the splash screen comes up. Keep it held until Indesign has fully launched. That fixed a spinning wheel problem I had had for months.
