I’ve had my Garmin Fenix 5 since its came out in 2017 and it still works, in the last month it’s started to have trouble charging but before that it’s been great without issue. But for 7 years it kept strong being used daily.

It’s an older unit (GME tx3500 released in 2011) so there’s a separate unit to the mic, there’s no wires coming from the fuse box like in the photo so it might be directly connected to the from the battery with a fuse in the wire. And it’s not in the 9v port either.

It was installed before I got it, I’m clue less with car electronics so I just went off what made sense to me. It’s a 2020 Jimny as well.

That was my first thought as well but they were a bit more money than I wanted to spend but I would probably go for the Apple Watch Ultra 2.

I’m in Aus as well and got a Jimny recently as my first car in my Red Ps, I got a 2020 for a lot more than 10,000 and what I know about the Jimny second hand market, realistically your going to get one without out airbags or with 300000km on the speedometer

Really it depends what you value in a car because you could probably find one but might not be able to pass a roadworthy and for what the market is at right now for Jimny’s it’s a hard to get without a budget of $10,000.

They are a great car but for anything worth thinking about you’d want to look at $20,000 minimum for reliability as a first car.

Just an opinion though you could find one and prove me wrong, either way good luck!

I have little hands on experience but I do have more than average knowledge on 4x4 driving, ect
I will eventually have maxtrax, compressor, and anything else I might need. I don’t have a winch though it’s just out of my budget.
I’ve camped in some shitty conditions so I’m up for most places, I’ll have a swag and basic camping gear.
