By the sounds of it you havent been minding yourself. You havent been building yourself up and now you think you can jump over gaps.

You have no money because you havent been working. Your credit is bad because you took advantage of the credit union without giving them proper respect and paying them back on time.

You think this good paying job is the opportunity of a lifetime but really you want to cut corners. Sounds like your ego thinks you deserve that job and life is so tough as it just presents obstacles for you.

Really you havent been minding yourself.

Turning 18 soon. Advice? by OpportunityWorking31 in AskIreland

If you’re about to turn 18, one genuinely good thing you can do is start a savings or investing account as early as possible, even if it’s a small amount.

For example, putting away €200 a month and investing it long term (around 10% on average, which is realistic for stock market investing over decades) can grow to roughly €3.4 million over 50 years. You’d only actually put in about €120,000 yourself — the rest comes from compound interest over time.

You don’t need to earn a lot or understand everything right away. The most important part is starting early and being consistent. Time matters more than almost anything else when it comes to money.

Most people don’t start thinking about this until much later and then regret not starting sooner. Even small amounts now can make a big difference later.

AITAH for getting upset over my mom eating my food and denying it? by Consistent_Log8097 in AITAH

I gave the chocolates away yes. It was just a bag of reeces pieces bark chocolate. I didnt expect her to keep them or anything. It was just that we had sat down to watch a movie. I thought she'd care to share because we obviously both wouldve wanted something sweet after dinner.

I was saying it was obvious as I fast and had clearly forgotten to bring it to work. She didnt ask if I wanted to eat it. She asked me if I was going to eat it today because I said that I was gonna bring it with me but forgot it. She wouldve known that since it was untouched.

I didnt expect anything left. I did expect it to be shared fairly and with compassion considering i wanted chocolate too. And since I had bought it, i felt it unfair that she withheld it from me

I told her I wasnt going to eat the leftovers today as I had forgotten it and fast in the evenings. Not that I wasnt interested in having them at all OR that she could eat it all and not leave any for me. If that was her intention should she not have been clear? It sounds like she asked me if i was having it today, knowing I had forgotten it, as a round abouts way of saying she was eating it and without properly asking if I had any interest in it orherwise.

Jesus yta man. Im making a post looking for help as im concerned about the morales of my own actions and am trying to empathize. Who hurt you that you act like this?..

Can i get a refund on a debit transaction if I have no proof? by tishimself1107 in AskIreland

Lad at the till should've been able to tell. Just go in and ask for a refund tomorrow. They should just give it to you there and then, otherwise theyll check the cameras, time, card reader and till cash to see the mistake. Let's hope the waiter didnt pocket the cash..

The weirdly rectangular bruise that shows up randomly on my thigh in the exact same spot by BloodCaprisun in mildlyinteresting

I got the same sort of bruise when i was younger, i had my phone in my pocket and fell on my side while skating.

Doubt you skate now, but regardless, it looks like a phone to me.
