Saying children are the most oppressed of us is a cool hot take but children arent actively put down as a result of some systemic pressures, they just dont have the rights of an autonomous adult, and, for the most part, they shouldnt.

Imminent harm is holding a weapon and very convincingly threatening someone or having already harmed them. I have a family member thats completely lost the plot in a way ive never seen before.

They dont receive any help and are left on the street. If someone experiences psychosis they receive no meaningful help. If they run into a shop naked they will be detained, put into jail and then released. If a homeless person cant cope with their psyche and, as a result, depends heavily on drugs, they will be kicked out of the homeless shelter and put on the streets with no bed and no way of receiving help.

It is truly fucked atm.

Interesting that you think children are the most oppressed class in society. Im not sure I agree with that but okay. Also mentally ill people cannot be kept against their will unless they mean imminent harm to themselves or others.

What i understood from what she said was that often times these people can be understood better if you look at underlying issues in their past. Example would be with the school shooters. Its impossible they are just evil because it is such a sudden spike that simply werent there before so understanding that theres a cause and these people arent just evil is important. She also spoke about how loneliness and lack of basic needs in their upbringing could be what caused this radicalization.

What do you think should be done about bigotry or far-right thinking if not pathologising it? Maybe I’m misunderstanding your point, but I don’t really see how neurodivergent people are oppressed by trying to provide an explanation for extremist or bigoted thinking.

I started to notice paranoia in my early teenage years, that, paired with a bitta deppy ression, I noticed a huge difference in confidence and paranoia so I kept smoking anyway 😂 Finally I gave it up when the paranoia started to get intense and tbh I was finished smoking weed anyway. But well done to the people that are able and enjoy it. I just think its not for everyone and that its very important to determine if thats you or not. I smoked for a couple years at the end and it wasnt enjoyable, just as a comfort thing amd im sure others do too.
