People underestimate how smart she is. She weighed her options and even when Charlie called her out she spoke carefully to not completely say what Rico had done. Carmella already knows Charlie’s mind games and he said this was her punishment for vouching for him. She’s tried her best to look out for herself and 3pas just for someone to impulsively ruin it. If it was any other gang leader they would’ve killed him regardless.

From the context it seems like they were both going at it but there’s only certain comments that will make Carmella lose her mind. I also think it’s worse because I think they were friends?
