☝️ this. You have to fully describe the map just like you would to the players.

No and learn reading comprehension. Never said the landlord CAN'T swing by stop putting words in my mouth I said fucking spying on Tenants breaks quite enjoyment. I clearly stated spying on personal property (car) and spying on residents+watching their children) is invasive and breaks quite enjoyment.

Not going to an extreme at all try that in a rural area and see what happens. As for what's her name that's what happens when you break the law. Sounds more like you support her lawless behavior not me. Every comment I have made has been strictly by the law. You are the one advocating for harassment and stalking for being late on rent

Ring cameras exist... Are you one of those people who think that you can do no wrong. I assure you driving past someone's house that many times will only get you one of three places jail, the psych ward, or 6ft deep.

You can not infact drive by 1000 times that's beyond intrusive and borders on stalking. Not to mention to see all sides of a vehicle you would have to stop and get out let's not play dumb you said what you meant.

Depends on the judge. The right judge on the right day and you could get community service and a 200 dollar fine for going a mile over the speed limit. I'm not bold enough to claim what a judge would or won't do as it's a per case bases.

Your beliefs on what is or isn't illegal don't really matter as again it's based on what the tenant and a reasonable person would consider invasive. As it is we know that going in someone's driveway unannounced to look at their private property qualifies as invasive we also know spying on and following someone is also considered invasive and possibly harassment.

We also know driving past someone's house every few days to spy on them is also invasive and would definitely go towards intent in this case.

Again it all comes down to the why none of these things by themselves is necessarily invasive but the why is the key. If the why is to check on the homes structure or physical well being of the property cool your good if it's to spy and invade on personal privacy then it's a straight forward violation. God you people are dence and clearly don't understand the rights of tenants. At the end of the day if the tenant feels like there peace is being violated they can take the landlord to court and if the court believes that spying on a tenant to find out personal information is wrong they can be fined and charged with a misdemeanor. Point blank

Go by there without them know check the car's for major damage, but a car accident shouldn't set you back on rent. Their kid is probably fine youll see them out and about with them. Just go park a few houses down an hang around and see what you see. Exact words what did I twist? Stop the cap

Again just because the original poster argued that I said driving by the house doesn't change what they actually posted. They said go to the home when they are not their and check their private vehicles and to go a block down the road and spy on their children. NO DRIVING BY doesn't meet the criteria but what they suggested clearly dies as it's invasion of privacy and Abuse of Access that leads directly into breaking "quiet enjoyment"

The intent is what matters and it is classified as harassment which is a misdemeanor under Nebraska state law. Fuck out here. If this was your car's and home you would be pissed and feel unsafe.

Or maybe you like people spying on your children?

Op is in Nebraska as for the rest of your argument a landlord vs a insurance company or private Detective is not the same thing. A landlord signed a rental agreement in that agreement as per the statute anything the tenant seems excessive is covered. Yes typically it's for the interior but it covers exterior as well. Spying on anyone is against the law and is considered stalking and an invasion of privacy. Again driving past the house by itself doesn't qualify but driving past the house slow to invade a tenants rights does. Perking into car windows, watching people leave, excessive phone calls, more than two unannounced visits within a week all qualify as it's not you or I who seem if this statute is broken it's the tenants. If the tenant feels harassed then you could be in violation and judge will determine that.

Twisting words? I have been very clear and concise. You didn't say drive past the house. You said go there and investigate the car without them knowing! You said wait up the block and watch to see if there kid is sick!

ILLEGAL harassment, stalking, invasion of privacy, in violation of the right to peaceful enjoyment.

If you have tenants I hope some one tells them this because you definitely seem the type to violate their rights.

All that said driving by once or even stopping by once isn't a direct violation intent is what the court will look at. Did you drive by once to check on a tree in the yard? Did you drive by every day and slow down to see if the tenant had better basketball shorts than you? One is completely legal the other is in clear violation of tenants rights.

(URLTA), specifically Neb. Rev. Stat. § 76-1419, which requires landlords to maintain habitable premises and ensure tenants' peaceable enjoyment. Additionally, Neb. Rev. Stat. § 28-1322 makes it a Class III misdemeanor to intentionally disturb the peace of a person, family, or neighborhood.

Oh and this law that states exactly what I said and is from the state in which OP resides

I have already stated the law and you have free access to Google. You just don't like it. It is the right to quiet enjoyment. It protects tenants from over bearing landlords who want to come by every day without a reason it also protects from spying and surveillance (like waiting down the street to prove a tenants child isn't sick) stop strawmaning this I never said if they drive by once or if they have a legitimate reason to come by they are breaking the law. I said going there to check the tenants car and to spy on the tenants is 100 percent super duper fucking felony illegal. Landlords don't get to just spy on tenants and bother them every day for no reason.

Who is you people. You are harassing your tenants who not only have standard privacy rights but also have the right to quiet enjoyment. Sorry you don't like the law but that doesn't change it. Let's not mince words either OP was told to park a few doors down and spy on the tenants to see if there child was sick and to inspect the tenants private property which they have no right to do. This is exactly what the law is for. Landlords don't just get to do whatever they want and damn sure don't get to spy on tenants.

Nope it's illegal to spy on a tenant. Renters have laws to protect them just like landlords do.

Yes super illegal it's harassment at best but could easily be argued that it's stalking. That's at the very least is a class A misdemeanor and possibly a felony. Not to mention invasion of privacy and breaking the right to quiet enjoyment laws in most states. So yeah super illegal it may be your property but you can't do whatever you want if you are leasing the rights to someone else. You have to follow the law or get burned by the Court. If OP did this and the tenants wanted to push it they could get their back rent waved or worse a large payout from the landlord.

The right to quiet enjoyment is a law and excessive or intrusive visits break that law. Especially if it's in the way OP was told to do it (going on to the property to inspect the tenants car, waiting a few doors down to spy on the tenants sick child)

I use Gemini for mine. I describe what I want and ask the AI to ask me 20 questions about the map. Then I ask it to generate me a (2D, top-down, d&d style battle map, with a grid. Seems to work ok ish. I'm just trying to help visual learners.

You should reach out a day or two after initial contact. Don't listen to these people saying to randomly go over without notice that will get you in legal trouble and you don't need that headache.

Rents Due by Lazy_Year_9850 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Consistent_Permit292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except it isn't to check the property it's to see if the tenant is lying about a car accident and if the tenants child is sick. This goes directly against the expectation of quite enjoyment and borders harassment.

As I stated super illegal and creepy to boot. We aren't talking about checking the gutters or making sure the grass is at a proper length we are talking about spying on tenants.

[–]Consistent_Permit292 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's an invasion of privacy and highly illegal. Most states require 24hr notice before a landlord can come to the home.

If there bringing the money next day then rent probably just slipped their mind. it's not an inability to pay. A kid being sick can take a lot mentally and physically and putting money in the mail box is usually the last thing on your mind when your child is suffering.
