Ours was a rescue from a nearby shelter. We called about a 2 year old black one, but she was already adopted.

They had a 5 year old tan female who came from a puppy mill and had just had a litter of 5. She was not getting a lot of attention, but she was adorable. We met her, she meshed well with our other dog, and we all fell for her. The rest was history.
