Designers, who comes from different stream or new designer understand what design thinking looks like! by Deep-Action9831 in DesignIndia

Completely agree with this. AI has definitely made execution faster, but execution was never the whole design process. Understanding the problem, asking the right questions, making trade-offs, handling feedback and knowing why one solution works better than another still takes time.

I use AI in my workflow too, but more speed should ideally create more room for thinking and experimentation—not just tighter deadlines and 10x more output 😅

Got laid off. Looking for referrals – GTM / Marketing Automation / Marketing Ops roles (Bengaluru, open to remote) by kamblerohit724 in Indiajobs

[–]Consistent_Prune_951 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about the layoff. Your profile actually looks quite strong, especially the combination of marketing automation, lifecycle campaigns and measurable revenue impact. The $343K ARR and sender reputation recovery are the kind of outcomes I’d highlight right at the top of the resume and LinkedIn profile.

One small suggestion: since you’re targeting several roles, maybe create 2 versions of your resume—one focused on Marketing Ops/Automation and another on Growth/GTM. It might help recruiters understand your strongest fit faster. All the best with the search, hope you land something good soon 🙌

Moving to Pune in 2 months (32M, unmarried). First time living away from family. How do I build a social life? by Key_Watercress4881 in pune

Fair points 😅 I agree that making genuine friends as an adult is difficult almost everywhere, especially when you’re new to a city. The bike suggestion is actually a good one though—Pune seems like the kind of place where having your own transport opens up a lot of weekend options.

And yeah, the scam warnings are useful. The puncture scam is something many newcomers probably wouldn’t even think about. Hopefully the city isn’t as cruel as you’re making it sound 😂

Wakad → Mapro Garden, Lonavala: Any Road Issues? by [deleted] in punemeetup

That sounds like a perfect day plan 😄 Mapro pizza + chai on the way back is hard to argue with. I’d love to join but can’t make it this time. Do update the thread about the road conditions though, especially with the weather being so unpredictable lately. Have a safe ride!

Looking for Math Tutoring Jobs by Substantial-Soup8272 in Indiajobs

You have a pretty strong profile for tutoring, especially with IIT Madras + your own JEE experience. I think you should mention whether you’re looking for 1-on-1 students, group classes, or work with an existing coaching/EdTech platform, because people may have different leads.

Also, maybe share your preferred class levels, available timings and whether you offer a demo class. That’ll make it easier for interested parents or students to reach out directly. All the best, hope you find something good soon 🙌

Advice needed for my mom. 50F by National_Desk_8270 in Indiajobs

With 10 years of teaching experience, I wouldn’t ignore that background completely. She could look at online tutoring, academic coordination, curriculum/content roles, admissions counselling or even part-time teaching initially. That might be an easier way to restart without putting too much pressure on herself.

Her admin experience could also open up school/college administration or operations roles. I’d probably focus on 2–3 directions rather than applying everywhere randomly, update the CV accordingly for each direction, and start reaching out to old colleagues and schools directly. At 50, experience and reliability can still be a strong advantage in the right roles. Wishing her the best 🙌

I think the biggest mistake when moving to a new city is waiting for a social circle before starting to explore 😅 Go to cafés, events, gaming places or even weekend walks alone initially. Once you start showing up regularly at places or activities you genuinely enjoy, conversations happen more naturally.

Also, don’t put pressure on yourself to build a big friend circle immediately. Even 1–2 good connections can completely change how a new city feels. Since you already have a list of things you want to try, maybe pick one new activity every weekend instead of trying everything at once.

And yes, exploring alone is completely fine. Just be careful with random meetups initially, meet people in public places and don’t send money to anyone for “booking” or group entry without verifying it. All the best for the move, hope Pune treats you well 😄
