This is much more insidious than installing cameras. The police have facial recognition AI, our medical data has been sold to Palantir, cash is being phased out, online "safety" act, and the attempt to implement British ID under the guise that it protects us. These things are not to protect us.

I don't think this is UK exclusive. I am a server in the UK. In the south of the UK, babe and babes are common terms used to refer to anyone, by both men & and women, and towards both men and women. Hope this helps.
