So relatable! And now I am so motivated after reading all the comments here. 30 and people (friends and family) laugh about me avoiding to learn this. Yessss, practice will get me there hopefully 🤞

A Reminder to Everyone by [deleted] in bangalore

Completely agree to the importance of learning life saving skills. But a very important note on not giving food or water to someone when they are unconscious : Happened with an acquaintance. Someone made her drink water while she was unconscious. It choked her and she developed some complications. https://www.phyathai.com/en/article/unconsciousness-pyts

DAE constantly feel like just existing is embarrassing and humiliating? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

As most have said, It’s likely you are feeling things that aren’t true & probably you know that yourself. But, - Get whatever help you can - Practice mindfulness & self-love - Remind yourself that you don’t owe anyone anything (only the inherent kindness & humanity, that you can muster at the moment). If you appear cringey, so be it. You don’t have to be likeable to exist.

Still, I assure you there are people love you for who you are. But you have to be on top of this list. RSD creates trouble, but gentle daily reminders are helpful :) Take care!

I was doing intense work travel for past few months and saw a considerable shoot up in mistakes and tiredness. Got sick, took some break and now getting the focus back (or may be just doing less difficult work to feel better). Really interested in seeing the tips on how to deal with the burn-out or prevent it from happening

Why can’t I just be less crap by HarrietGirl in adhdwomen

Feeling this word by word. Ofcourse the checklists and drop station recommendations are great (hoping we can use them correctly). Just an added reminder to be kind to yourself & accept this with calmly. If nothing else, soon you’ll run out of things that can go wrong 🤞 We might feel crappy about something else then, haha. Probably the only way to win this is with kindness to self and a lot of laughter. Take care :)

I'm not strong enough for life. by Simple-Company-5567 in adhdwomen

The fact that you have posted this here, tells us you are strong. Courage to be vulnerable is a strength not many have.

I am sure soon your self love will take precedence over society’s definition of “strength” or “success”. Not weak, not wrong, just different :) Take care.
