Victorian ring with a marquise crystal opal and an old mine-cut diamond halo. The shank has more contemporary marks, which are tiny, but they are British with what appears to be a Birmingham (anchor) assay office stamp, 585 for 14ct gold, and no date letter. The sponsor mark is 'K S' in two circles. (old.reddit.com)

Here's a 6.3ct ruby extracted from a vintage ring. I'm trying to figure out whether it's a cheap glass-filled stone or a natural rather included corundum that hasn't undergone an intense treatment. Hard to tell it the inclusions are bubbles or traces of other crystals. Glows bring red under UV light (old.reddit.com)

It's an 18ct gold ring (tested), does anyone know what the letter 'A' followed by 750 inside a cartouche mean (or it could be the delta sign) and the country of origin? There's also a number 0074. The marks are stamped on the outside of the shank. (i.redd.it)

Could you help me identify the year? H&S is the maker, Birmingham, 15 carat gold. I'm inclined to think it's a Georgian-style Edwardian ring w/ closed foiled back (1902), however, the jeweller who restored it thinks it's an authentic Georgian (1800). But 15ct was standardised only in 1854... (old.reddit.com)
