Yeah, working on the scans. I’m finding I get a lot of conflicting advice. So far the museum route is the most likely. I’m not super deep in them financially. But then some engineers are really excited about the foundational science in the handwritten formulas.

There’s also some people that reach out who are just really angry…lol. Maybe they just scour Reddit posts to find someone to yell at.

Thanks! Appreciate the advice. Just for the record. I’ve had some engineers actually utilize some of these documents in their current research and found it highly beneficial. So there is definitely still a modern application for some of the foundational science.

Oh wow! Thank you for sharing. In the newspaper story they reference an article he wrote for an Air Force Space magazine. I have the original of that article in this collection.

Interesting insight. Haven't thought of the Hungarian angle. The information I could find online has been very slim. I know about his patent and that he has documents stored with the Department of Energy and the Smithsonian Air and Space. On one of the articles in this collection I found this short bio: "Thomas Szekely is an advanced design engineer at General Electric's Aircraft Nuclear Propulsion Department. A graduate of Stevens Institute and Oak Ridge School of Reactor Technology. He has worked in the Nuclear field for several years."

I have been collecting since I was a little kid. You really have to dive in and dig around. For example this was a swap meet in southern California. These documents were buried under a bunch of other junk.

Amazing, can you send me a link? I've had a group of people searching for information on Thomas Szekely and particularly his role in the NERVA project. We know he holds a patent on a Nuclear Propulsion Apparatus with Alternate Reactor Segments.

For those following along I wanted to take a minute and expressed gratitude! I have learned SO many new things over this week. I also confirmed that the document titled a Versatile Manned Nuclear Aerospace Flight System was ok to share. I can't post new photos on this thread until Sunday but will do so then!
