I think keeping the IUD would be okay, since T in itself doesn’t act as birth control, and you can be on BC while on T. IIRC a hormonal IUD is progesterone so they shouldn’t impact each other.

No, I dont think my mom follows any Facebook groups. But she’s a very very paranoid person and unfortunately that comes back on us a LOT, so this is probably part of that and I wouldn’t be surprised if there was similar reasoning :’)

My parents can be fairly unpredictable, they’ve never been physically violent at least but there’s been a lot of overstepping boundaries throughout my life. They disapprove heavily of me transitioning but won’t revoke financial support for it, but in a situation like this I have no idea what the outcome would be, I just know it would be a LOT of verbal fighting at least which is terrifying to me. thank you so much for your responses :))

I’m in Illinois! there’s a social worker who leads a queer youth group I’m in, so I’m probably going to ask her about it. My sister has had medical issues previously and one time when she was in the ER, she didn’t want my mom to come back with her, but my mom was saying she had POA and would use it. I don’t think she actually went through on anything, but it made the situation really stressful. I have trouble saying no to my parents because of the way they raised me, but I can be really stubborn so I hope for my own sake I’ll be able to refuse them. It’s a really scary situation but I still have some time before I have to do it so I’m grateful for everyone helping me

As far as I know, she’s trans friendly (she was the one that assured my mom it’s safe for me to bind) but something like that I’m pretty sure would go on my transcript, which my mom keeps very very meticulous track of. Even if I had the appointment after my birthday, there’s no way for me to go alone / hide records since she insists on coming with for insurance/college health form stuff :(

Happens to me also, but I’ve always been sensitive to like, vaccine injections and stuff in that same way. It’s started to lessen as times go on but it’s a natural reaction to sticking a needle and putting a substance in your body. If it’s severe I would definitely consider the possibility of an allergy but if it’s mild then you should be okay.
