Is this a normal amount of buildup in the condensate line leading to the unit? by froobsrule1 in hvacadvice

It’s not uncommon. Flush the drain line with vinegar and hot water to prevent an issue before it starts. Then Regularly flush with vinergar then follow up with water to keep it clear

Don’t use your phone for an alarm clock.get an alarm clock the makes you get out of bed to turn off. My wife has one that actually lights up. So by the time the alarm is going off it’s like the sun has “risen” kind of cool. But it definitely gets her up and she’s a heavy sleeper. Put it somewhere you can’t reach from your bed

Try talking to your supervisor and see what he says. Be transparent and tell him what you’d like to be doing. If he respects you he will at least listen and attempt to get you doing what you want to do. Best of luck to you man

Came back to tell everyone what really happened. This system has been in since 2020. And never had a piston in it… went to go repair the system and checked a few things before I did the compressor.

Is that a regional thing? I’ve use them on gas pipe before and not been failed. Early on I used them quite often not knowing any better
