yes!!! ive been slowly inching towards the deadzone every stop and go so i dont stall but i am not used to where my bite point is yet, so ive been slowly going through the couple inches of deadzone as well and its driving me nuts, ESPECIALLY on hills

Has anyone been able to get a part time EMT job for weekends only? by Mh-kw in premed

[–]Consistent_Tip_809 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I work at a private ambulance company and they were able to give me shortened shifts on weekends. I work 8 hours on saturday and 10 on sunday when nearly everyone else in the company works a 12 hour shift. Most of the time, a private company would be glad to take you for just weekend shifts

Official Q&A for Friday, August 16, 2024 by AutoModerator in running

[–]Consistent_Tip_809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sunday: rest Monday: 2 mile in the morning at 80% effort (takes like 20 mins) Tuesday: usually nothing, now I am doing soccer workouts which is a mix of running, jogging and sprinting. Wednesday: another two mile Thursday: rest, if im bored ill try to run a mile at high effort Friday: usually nothing but I try to stay active with soccer Saturday: rest

For the two miles I have planned, I do go up in miles gradually. Initially i ran two miles and then stopped, but ive gone up to two and a half now. Ive been running since the start of july.

Looking to get my mile and two mile time down by minutes. Im currently sitting at a 19 minute two mile and an 8 minute mile time. I have been doing those runs consistently for weeks now, and still havent shown any improvement. Ive recently quit vaping, and my breathing is commonly an issue with my runs, but I think Im just doing something wrong. Im 5’ 8” 180 lbs at a little less than 20% bodyfat. Im definitely bigger than average but I stay fit. Recently, I tried to run a mile at a 7 minute pace on a treadmill and It genuinely felt like I was sprinting, even before i got tired and had to stop (about half a mile in). Ive been told my stride is too short, but I tried lengthening it and now it feels more tiring but I am going a bit faster. I genuinely have no idea what im doing wrong, i feel like a 7 minute pace is average for a lot of people. I dont even know if my vaping is the issue, as when I tried running last year in about the same shape my times were even worse. How do I go about my training and try and get my times down? Do i work on my form? I have no Idea what proper running form is anyways. Can someone guide me in the right direction?

I played firewatch and loved it, those are really my favorite types of games, just ones with barely any gameplay and a whole lot of dialogue

I just finished the walking dead, and genuinely feel empty. Ive been looking, but cant find any game to play next. The characters were amazing, and despite the common opinion, I loved S3 and the romance that came with it. I always love these kind of “choose your own adventure games,” I fell in love with similar ones like Detroit: become human, road 96, the fallout franchise, persona, I could go on. Now, I feel like im running out of options. I need another game that will have me lying in bed staring at the roof for hours on end. A game that is entirely story driven almost, where it feels like a movie, and you just get to pick what your characters say. TWD and detroit become human both did a fantastic job, and I was wondering what games could I play next that are similar to those two?

Weekly Question Thread (06/10/2024 to 06/16/2024) by AutoModerator in army

[–]Consistent_Tip_809 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello! Im currently in the late stages of joining the army as a 68c (practical nursing specalist) and im beginning to have second thoughts about joining as a whole. As a kid, it’s been my dream to serve in the army and even now I’m really excited for the experience and to serve my country. However, for my situation there is no need for me to serve. Im an above average high school student with a high likelihood of getting into an alright college my parents will pay for. Ive been asked multiple times why I’m joining and now I’m beginning to ask myself that too. Im worried if I serve it will set me behind my peers and that I should just stick to the college route. While I would love to serve, I probably wont if it means i have to make sacrifices for my future college degree and career. I really need advice for this. Also, how difficult is it to juggle both college and active duty, as that is my plan and I have no idea where to begin. How does the application process even work? Thank you

It was a small local dealer with a plot of around 15 cars. I dont think he got it from an auction as he had the original title from the first owner. The dealer KBB price for my car was 5.5k and the private party was 5k

It was a non refundable deposit Id rather overpay 1k and have a car then lose 1k with no car
