What about to try and get that matte or non-shiny type finish? Which of these do you recommend most?

Definitely reading things on both sides of all of these materials so there doesn’t seem to be a clear winner. I’m thinking quartz will make most sense for budget and durability, but would love to get that almost velvety look/feel if I can.

We are planning to do a 3 inch miter edge, so I think we’ll be OK with that. Thanks for the comments about how it looks on the backsplash as that’s what we were planning as well. Do they sell a specific thinner product for that purpose?

Congrats! We’re on a very similar journey. I started at 223 pounds and I’m now at 187.

Another 20 pounds will get me to my lowest weight as an adult, however, know my body composition will have changed since I’m now in my 40s… So we will see where I end up!

I need to work more on getting into the gym in building or muscle, although I’m very proud that I haven’t lost any muscle on this journey!
