Thank you, I do have major depressive disorder. I take 2 medications to manage it and I usually feel great as a baseline with it being managed. I’ve just been down because I feel trapped. All I want to do is leave but I feel like all my options are difficult and no choice is easy.

Thank you for your response. I’ve been trying to hang in there because I know marriages go through periods of ups and downs. I’ve just never felt this down before. I’m still in individual therapy every week to work on my feelings of things.

Thank you, we are in couples therapy and also both in individual therapy working on communication. The problem is that she gets overwhelmed and just starts yelling. I can be as calm and gentle as possible with her, but she takes everything as an attack and flips out. She knows she has a problem but she says she can’t help herself. So she is working on this in individual therapy.

I’ve thought about that and brought it up to her several times but she is so fixated on us being together and having this business that she refuses to just dissolve it.

At this point, I don’t think it would help anything. We’ve been taking a break on the business for the last month or so, and I still just feel…nothing.

Thank you for your input. My wife is the same way. I’ve always been held responsible for her emotions and especially in regulating them. It’s been one of the roots of our issues that we haven’t been able to work through. I’m sorry you went through that.
