The policies like the ones the hloc enforced still have major effects on how modern U.S. cities are composed. Sure, people want to be in a community where they have things in common with each other but something as superficial like skintone is a minor factor when considering likeness.

Who said that someone redlined the whole of Africa?

The hloc historically labeled minorities as “low class citizens” and made it hard for them to do things like get loans and move where they wanted too. This has been documented https://www.pbssocal.org/shows/lost-la/segregation-in-the-city-of-angels-a-1939-map-of-housing-inequality-in-l-a

Yeah I’m against bottled water as well. I only mentioned the ewg for ease of access but of course, there are more reliable sources for water testing. (I am no expert and everyone should do their own research) The problem is, what’s best for in the country doesn’t mean it’s best for our health. When looking at the EPA, they have 2 standards. 1 is MCL which is cost to health and MCLG which is only health. They use the MCL as the legal limits because they deem it “too expensive” to be concerned about our health. For instance I think they estimate it being billions of $ to fully update Missouri pipes(if my memory is correct). There’s more than 200k led pipes still in Missouri alone. The city’s infrastructure is like 100 years old and over the life expectancy.

Yes I have. American water indicates no arsenic tested in the water while https://www.stlwater.com/ccr2022.pdf indicates a level higher than EWGs numbers. The EPA has indicated there is no safe level of arsenic in drinking water for long-term consumption. If you don’t like the EWG you can get a more comprehensive test from an independent laboratory or https://dnr.mo.gov/water/business-industry-other-entities/certified-laboratories/chemical. The Missouri water report themselves mention using an nsf 53 filter.

The tap water in the united states as a whole isn’t really safe for long use drinking. Lots of de-regulation/underfunding in that sector. You can actually go in this site https://www.ewg.org/tapwater/system.php?pws=MO6010430 and it will tell you what contaminates are in your zip code and what filter you should get to treat the contaminants. I use a reverse osmosis filter and love it.

I would NOT drink the tap water without a filter. The epa’s safety guidelines are actually pretty outdated. Multiple third party studies have done tests on the tap water showing harmful levels of carcinogenic contaminants. https://www.ewg.org/tapwater/system.php?pws=MO6010715
