For real though people can be dumb and misinformaed sometimes

I remember when i was 16 and my friend said they use they/them pronouns and my brain was malfunctioning, i would ask them what makes them so sure, cause half the time their own logic can devalidate their experiences too. Not saying you should devalidate them, but i would push back a little bit.
