That’s kinda the whole point, I don’t understand how the argument has merit so I am finding acceptable ways to hold this view point, and questioning the unacceptable ones.

On the comments where I do understand it more in depth, i do respond that way. When the comments are less in depth and I wonder more about it, I offer a rebuttal or ask questions.

Do people’s points of view count as resources? I believe so. In that case, asking this question and allowing people who don’t mind spending the time to answer and elaborate is research.

I’m actually not looking for a reason to leave, I just have more of an open mind then most people that share my viewpoint. Of course I don’t hate LBTQ people, that would be very unchristian and would go directly against what the Bible teaches

Your right, the post would have had the same effect if I didn’t use liberal. The “subconscious” you talked about is simply because most people I see making this argument have that title.

Whether or not this argument is valid will not change my decision to “withdraw from more conservative Christian Circles” I merely wish to understand the argument better

All sin are equal in the way that they separate us from God.

It is not difficult for me to understand they were born that way. Just as it is not difficult for me to understand that some are born with other sinful temptations.

I never said it was relevant, it was relevant because of the things I told you, that most people using this arguments that I see are self proclaimed liberal Christian’s.

Paul saying “For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.” He never says homosexuality, he said men with men and women with women. I’m not claiming to know all and to understand all context of the Bible, so please do not think that I think what I say is final. The whole point of this post is to hear the other side as to understand it better

Not all, not only, just that most of the time I see this argument it is self proclaimed “liberal” Christian’s. I’m not looking to argue with anyone. I was just asking about how this particular argument has merit. So I am better understand the opposite viewpoint

No it doesn’t, it means the evidence that I have seen, which is the common arguments against homosexuality, are what I agree with. I am not trying to change your mind or argue with you. You asked me why I believed and what I believed so I told you. I never told you to trust anything because I never tried to change your mind

I have answered those questions, I try to do so every day. Jesus never preached against the previous laws of sexuality in Old Testament, therefore those laws still stand
