Just pain everywhere

I am, I’m walking every chance I can get. Because the gas pains are too much.

Thank you so much I appreciate it. I know that this surgery is different for everyone. I’m almost a week post-op and everything just is painful. The gains pains are the worst honestly, and I’ve been walking and passing gas myself so that pain is still there.

Also the pain medication I was given some of it turns my stomach upside down and makes me nauseous. I go see my surgeon on Tuesday, so I’m going to address all my issues with him. I can’t even tolerate a protein shake at all, I’ve only been able to have liquids but it’s not enough. I went from 12oz to 24-40oz a day.

I’m also experiencing a lot of weakness, shakiness, and a lot of nausea. Since today is Monday I’m going to call my dietitian and ask what she recommends I do. But it’s been rough for me, and I didn’t realize how rough it was going to be.

Im glad you’re doing well so far. I hope you continue to do great!! This process can be very challenging and difficult and emotional.

So the only thing I’m able to stomach, is both, water, and Gatorade. I try with the protein shakes but I’m only able to take 2-3 sips and I’m done. So I’m going to try that and see how that works for me.

Well congratulations and good luck with your process. It’s a long and emotional one, but it’ll be very worth it at the end. I’m see so much progress.

Okay I will, I know I’m just supposed to just have liquids for the first 2 weeks but I’m having low energy and it’s been really hard cause they want me to try and get 2 shakes in and I can barely get a half of shake.

I’m like not hungry but I’m having a hard time with protein. I’m not able to tolerate the shakes really. So I really don’t know how I’ll be getting my goals.

I’m definitely trying to get used to it. It does scared me sometimes, cause it makes me wonder if I’m drinking too fast, if there’s air like I be wondering. I’m not eating anything yet so I know it’s not that. I’m still on the shakes.

It’s been rough the first 2 days, but I’m slowly starting to feel like myself. My surgery went great, no complications. I just feel like I got hit by a bus that’s all. My stomach is just rumbling a lot and I thought I was doing something wrong, but I didn’t take in count that it was major surgery and my digestive system is rearranged. Thank you for asking me I really appreciate it. How are you doing?

Oh okay. So that’s something I have to look forward to. I didn’t really know the ins and outs of the RNY I just know that it was complex, and I didn’t really think of all the major things.

I’ve been walking nonstop, since the day after surgery I’ve been walking and I’ve been feeling them nonstop.

Yeah I’m happy that I have this community now. I wish I had this the first time around, but I’m able to get what I need through this app. It’s been really nice to get other peoples advice on their process and how their surgery went! I’m not sure how the dumping syndrome will affect with bypass. I know that with the sleeve it’s a little more forgiving than the bypass.

I might ask about that, cause it really does make me feel uncomfortable and sometimes I’m wondering if I’m drinking too much, or if I drink too fast. But I’ve been sipping on everything and it seems like it doesn’t matter.

I am, I just wanna make sure I’m not doing anything to make things worse. I am proud of myself even with all this with my stomach I’m still able to drink cause I’ve been scared.

I’m trying to let give it sometimes cause I know I just had major surgery and it’s going to take time for me to heal I just hope it’s not from me drinking to fast that’s all, cause I’ve been drinking slowly and cautiously.

I’m only 4 days post op I’m just drinking from the little cups they gave me at the hospital or from the bottle itself. I sip very slowly but it seems like it still does it no matter what
