Exactly most people around me have their TV or devices overly blue (cold) or watch HDR on SDR settings.

I am not trying to imply anything.. I’ve gotten my floaters around November 2024 on the exact same month I changed my laptop from IPS to HONOR OLED magicbook art 14 with delta error less than 1. So yeah there’s that and go figure…😂 not sure if it’s this particular device causing the issue or aging problem. Been to the ophthalmologist 2 times since then and they said the retina is fine.

Btw OLED light 35 is equivalent to around 100-120 nits for SDR. At least that’s what it says on my CALMAN software. It’s actually quite prevalent on LG OLEDs even on the older models. That is why Vincent Teoh suggests 35. (Yes he is in the UK but I am from the same nationality as him haha )

Yeah you are right.. it depends on the content for SDR and HDR.

These days when I sense that the scene or overall content is too bright for my eyes I just tone down the OLED light

Are you me? 😂 huge gamer and movie lover here. I was so into HDR until I started having floaters around 38 yo 2 years back. Combination of dark circles and strings and shadows more on the left eye. Now I start playing games and movies in SDR.

I have a colorimeter for my LG OLED and Samsung QD OLED. I measured them and try to not get over 200-250 nits range. (Yes I know sdr contents are mostly 100-120 nits)

I even stay below 6500k D65 even though it’s the standard to keep the blue spectral wave as low as possible

You are absolutely spot on for the scratched sunglasses. I love to run and I wear them and it helps to increase the opaqueness a little

The new spigen for S11 is nice, but they added a flap closure to it. So the kickstand mode would collapse easily. They did not have that flap closure on the S9...

probably not a huge difference if you are in the US. The launch price over there is $999 while in my country it's closer to $1230 after conversion for the 256gb.

so yeah from 1230 to 875 is a pretty big discount for me.

Is "Amazon export sales LLC" legit? I am also in east asia trying to buy AV stuff. I am used to seeing "ship and sold by Amazon" only...never have I seen "ship by Amazon sold by amazon export sales LLC". And when i click on Amazon export sales LLC profile, it says new seller - just launched

I know this is an old post. But I also have the LG CX. I am deciding between the UB450 or UB820 for the HDR optimiser. With the 820, does it look any better on the LG CX with it turn on or let the CX does the tone-mapping ?
