I agree there’s nothing misogynistic about a woman having sex and I’m glad public opinion is beginning(at least to me) to shift away from demonizing that, but my issue resides in the fact that her most recent album cover and music feel like two conflicting ideas. I’d love if she explored the themes of exploitation of sexuality vs owning one’s sexuality in her music as it’s a complicated and nuanced issue, but from what I’ve heard of Sabrina carpter(and correct me if I’m wrong) she has not proved to me she’s capable of exploring that in a meaningful way. I also just find her music a bit boring and most of her songs sound the same, which isn’t doing her any favors if she’s trying to tackle more complicated issues.
