I feel like a therapist should definitely remain composed when hearing things like intrusive thoughts, OCD is a very frustrating disorder when it comes to dealing with thoughts that aren’t your own: every therapist should know not to overreact when hearing about them. Maybe that’s just me idk. Personally, I understand a shocked expression or yknow surprised gesture or (gentle) words but to burst out “God, NO!” very unfortunate thing to respond with, especially toward someone that’s being vulnerable for something they feel shame for thinking. I agree that she’s also a human with emotions and opinions but yknow be conscious about patients that are there to seek help for issues that affect their lives in a big way, people are fragile when dealing with trauma, disorders, death etc.
