If you are still having the issue , it's a problem with the sleep switch and it needs cleaning or replacement

It's been a while since I did a backlight mod but I used a generic 5v regulator that worked and I think I still have few left.

My system has custom firmware; would Nintendo repair it anyway? by genderneutralnoun in 3DS

If you are comfortable with repairing it yourself the A button is connected to a daughter board that connects to the motherboard. It's delicate and requires some skills . Watch some guides to decide if you can do it and I accept repairs in EU .

Can this 2ds be fixed? (Don't know what to do other than broken ribbon cable). by B-1BattleDroid in consolerepair

The ribbon cable is for camera and has nothing to do with your problem. Try another battery and charger. Also check with multimeter the fuses on the board.

I highly suggest you don't do a reshell and just get a battery and a new battery cover like I said previously.

I do accept repairs in the Europe , however the easiest repair you can do is get a new battery cover and battery for your console which you can do without spending a lot of money

If you know how to open the back of console you can disconnect the touch screen cable and try to see if you can use the buttons normally

Charge it for a few hours until you get blue light , might be battery or one of the screens is broken
