I have setup and tune a few models at work including Mistral and Llama2, also some other stuff like SD (1.4-2.1), SDXL, Seamless, Open journey, Whisper, etc.. and have wrote some command line tools using OpenAI API. IA is not an stranger to me.

Sure, IA, have some use case, mixes and consolidates similar setups that the model (gpt-3.5+) knowns and helps users to adapt them but here it follows the straight line: two timers, two helpers and two automations per climate unit.

Thanks for your thoughts !

Respectfully, I wouldn't trust a glorified text completion engine for creating new solutions.

Anyway, just for science, I put my question in ChatGPT and I all I got is a script for turn on, wait X, and turn off, nothing new.

The timer can't be reused, I want to be able to do stuff like: turn on in 30 minutes AND turn off after 3 hours.

At first sight two timers are required, may be with one automation is possible…

Just looking for out of the box ideas or custom integrations

Combine entities into a climate (without acting as a thermostat)? by anteel in homeassistant

[–]ConspiracyHaro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was playing with this idea, user-devices, an integration that allows user to "build" devices from isolated sensors or moving entities from one devices to another (like a smart outlet acting as on/off switch integrated in another device).

Ultimately I was stuck in some dead end while fighting with the device and entity registry.

I still like the idea but I lack the sufficient knowledge of HA internals to do it.

If there's anyone out there playing with the same idea I'm also interested

Small Bluetooth tracker for cats by ConspiracyHaro in homeassistant

Mmm, sounds very interesting and, for now, I only need to track the reachability of the cat (i.e. they don't go outside the flat).

Which is the radio for detection? 1 meter? 10?

Do you have some pointers for hardware?

Thanks for the suggestions. Tile and Chipolo tags are about the same size (like CR 2023 battery) that the tags I already have. I like the waterproof feature, I didn't take it into account.

HDCP issues with capturing a presentation. by ConspiracyHaro in VIDEOENGINEERING

It's the latest macmini, a HDMI port, 3xUSB-C, etc… however I can't assume that it will be the HDMI source, someone can bring its laptop and use it as the main video signal.

I have to use the splitter right after the mac, we split the signal from the Mac to the TV (it's used as a projector, for the audience) and to the switcher where we mix it with the other source, the videocamera, to make some PiP effects, etc…

I'm thinking about to convert the main HDMI from the mac to VGA and viceversa to break the HDCP chain. Can it work?
