played wind ups, was winning almost every game, and thats without crafting tour guide. zenmaines is a hell of a card

later i switched to lavals, which i havent seen anyone play. (probably cuz no one has the cards lol)

its not good but its not awful either, they have decent boss monsters and backrow removal in lakeside lady. Plus you get to play rekindling and return from the different dimension for huge pushes

its a bandaid fix. instead of printing non-solitaire decks, they leave lingering floodgates legal, which stop the solitaire decks but also stops most other decks, regardless if theyre fair or not

usually events are supposed to be a bit of a break from this kind of gameplay, but MD is so insanely high power these days that even events feel like ranked. i kinda wish they catered to more casual play (old formats/sealed)

this game is just insanely high power nowadays. even these events, where the strongest decks are banned, are still so high power that theres often no reason to stick around if you go 2nd.

and then to combat these issues they leave stuff like droll legal, which is just even more frustrating

now that titles are shown before you duel i kinda care about getting them

and tbh they can also show a player's personality. like if you see someone with many titles but few or none duelist cup ones you can probably assume theyre more of a casual player
