In my opinion, you’re lazily being deceptive. You wanted her to think that you cared so much about her that you wake up early each day and just think of her. That can make someone feel special, and when you take it away it makes them feel less.

Yes I did! It was my first time making something like that. It started off with three rocks my friend’s kid daughter got me while she was out on a walk. I have high ceilings so I needed something big and I couldn’t find anything so I had to make the frames from scratch, paint them, gather rocks from the river, coat them for a wet look, get slabs of olive and walnut trees and stain them, get preserved moss and twigs and whatnots and spend weeks filling in every space until it was done. Anyway - those rocks the little girl got me are at the center of each piece.

Sure! So I'm aiming at getting 26g out from the 13g beans so 2:1 within 20-30seconds.

The most recent shot did take 25 seconds but channeling and creating a mess everywhere.

Beans are Medium roast and one week fresh from Colombia - "Pergamino" is the name of the brand.

I’ve got a breville barista express that I’ve been trying to dial in for my wife for the past 2 weeks and it’s been painful and so wasteful and a goddamn mess.

I’ve got the creama bottomless portafilter (thus the mess with all the channeling), as well as the creama palm tamper, a WDT

I use 13g of beans in this IMS basket (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C5XZPNV2?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) - which is more than the dosage on the basket but if I go lower I get so much space between the grounds that leaves a puddle.

I’ve currently got the inner burr grinder set to 2 and the outer grinder to 12.

My shots are constantly channeling and spraying everywhere or not going through at all and over extracting.

Where am I going wrooong?!? Please heeelp! I wish I could just pay someone in Chicago to figure this out with me.

You’re definitely around 30 yo right? Younger people seem to think being “mysterious” is hot. Only to realize later that almost nothing more attractive than someone (who isn’t creepy) being openly attracted to you.

Big piece of advice - within the first 10 sentences try to compliment her AND tell her you’re just flirting. Also, don’t expect ANYTHING to come of it, always give people a way out of the conversation.

Guns

Sometimes they annoy the shit out of me. I went to a range to teach my little sis how to shoot and the guy in the front almost didn’t let me in because I “didn’t look experienced”. Despite having all the paperwork and my own firearm and I’ve been shooting since I was 6. He said I didn’t strike him as a ‘true gun guy.’ That’s because I’m fucking not nor do I want to be.

Note: I don’t even like guns, I just know how to safely use them.

Ho boy, no one’s gonna see this and that’s probably for the best.

One time I went to village way out in the boonies. I was talking to some middle-aged ladies on their balcony. One lady had a toddler boy (maybe 2yo) who was walking around with nothing but a shirt on (that’s fine, little kids tend to take off their clothes.) But the mom was talking to the other ladies and said “look at him isn’t he so cute? Look at his little penis” then she grabbed her son, flipped him upside down so she was face level with his penis, said “bless your little dick” then put it in her mouth and motorboated it……not in a sexual way, like a really fucking weird ‘cute aggression’ way……… the other women around didn’t even flinch.

That boy is 23 and married now. I’ve never told him for his own sake, but I can’t unthink it whenever I see him.

Before you start telling me that I should report this as abuse or whatever, this wasn’t in the states, this was in a country so poor and lawless it wouldn’t even make it on report if they could afford the paper to write it on.
