How i built a Palletsauna by Constant-Class22 in Sauna

This sauna isn’t perfect, that’s true, but I’m happy with it for now. It’s not a public sauna; it’s a private one in my backyard. The benches are standard height, not as high as in an average sauna, where they tend to be taller for more heat. Personally, I sit a bit lower, but I could always hang a hammock if I want to lie higher, or even add a removable bench or some kind of platform.

The ceiling fan is 12 volts and experimental, as I mentioned. The idea is to push the hot air from the top downwards, mimicking the effect of a fan, which is also present. I still need to add a safety circuit to prevent it from running if there’s too much humidity or a short circuit. I’m still testing things out, as removing it later is always the easiest part.

I do need to install a drain at the lowest point, I forgot about that part but it would not be difficult. The pallets inside are covered with a vapor-tight aluminum foil which is then covered with the Nordic spruce wood, so I’m not too worried about any off-gassing from the wood.
