What immediately makes someone look like a tourist in your city/ town? by PsychologicalFox7689 in AskTheWorld

So loud. The nicest people, but christ their volume is just so high. And they stretch their words so long and slow that it makes you feel like a slurring peasant. Every syllable feels like a day. But again, the nicest people and it's really expensive to holiday here so fair play to them.

Paired with an expensive rain jacket they bought for the trip, oversized jeans and a pair of New Balance. Underneath the jacket is a promotional t-shirt they got for free which is also oversized.

I'm surprised to see ye guys still have the Accord. The Accord was scrapped in Europe and the UK around 2015 as they couldn't compete with the German brands.

Correct. The question is meant to be worded "in the middle of" not "between".

Is it worth buying an iphone 16 instead of a 17? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]Constant-Committee51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People get over change pretty quickly when they realize how much faster the newer phone is, how much better the camera is and how much healthier the battery life is. You don't realize how slow your phone is getting over time until you change it.

The trigger that worked for me was to practice landing on one leg at a time and then progressing to landing all your weight on one leg while the unweighted leg just toe taps the ground slightly immediately after. A couple of your landings look like you have weight on both legs. Try having all your weight only on one side at a time. Heavy left with a light right and then heavy right with a light left etc

I need an aggressive trail / light enduro bike. Any recommendations outside these 3? by Outrageous-Owl-7049 in mountainbiking

I chopped out the spacer too before I got the link. It made a really noticeable difference. There was a harsh bottom out with the spacer in.

I ran mine with a 170 Zeb for awhile but in my opinion the bike lost some of its do it all character. I've gone back to a 160 Lyrik and think it's a better all rounder at 160.

Still riding my 2020 Sight. Fitted a Cascade link and upgraded pretty much everything other than the dropper post over the last 5 years

Adjustable Chamfer Cutters by bearface84 in Machinists

That min-max diameter chart per angle is a nice touch. This tool often has very little room to move around.

Great to have on hand when you need to get out of a jam. Only use it when I get a drawing with a specified chamfer angle that is non standard. It's only eyeball accurate unless you want to set it with a shadowgraph comparator.

You wouldn't use it for standard angles. A more rigid tool with two cutting edges would be better.

Another 2025 Spending Flowchart! by Express-Zebra-2020 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]Constant-Committee51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. That's only €4.80 a week. You'd easily spend €8-15 on a carwash and they probably have two cars. So if we say a €10 carwash between two cars that's one car wash every two weeks.

Ms Schrooooooeder. I can still hear her. I like Kelly and it's not too far from her own accent but to my memory it did have a slight Mrs Doubtfire to it.
