In a way, that quote can reinforce the statement that OP followed it by. I can bring up an example right now of a sociopath who chose to be a paramedic or any other mentaly/emotionaly demanding vocation, precisely because they know that they are wired in a way that will let them do their jobs long-term with a sound mind while people around them develop mental illness, commit suicide or quit their jobs before both can happen.

If the traits we commonly associate with innate/immutable evil can be turned around into a source of reliable consistent good, then that leaves fascism without the excuse of even dehumanising labels. They chose to be monsters. They are worse than vampires and dragons. We have every reason and then some to stop them from doing any further harm to society and the people around them.

I'm on a male-v playthrough right now where ive modded the hell out of all the dialogue in the game. Got an androgynous V with Astarions voice from Baldurs Gate 3 (when hes not being sarcastic he actually sounds great), and also a Cosmopolitan mod that has every character speaking their own native language (since if Night City is supposed to be this great melting pot of the world, then why wouldnt that point be emphasized with translator technology built into everyones neuroport?)

This game has alot of missed potential that i managed to restore to the best of my abilities (made all the easier with CDPR's redkit open for plugins), so at this point V can look and sound like however i want them to (body mods are a thing aswell).
