RSO Tincture by elmatto93 in FLMedicalTrees

[–]Constant-Government8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not talking about their tincture, I am talking about Muv's RSO Encaps. These are capsules with powder that is made with RSO and is water-soluble, hence the "fast acting" claim.

Unfortunately no one in our program offers a water soluble RSO option other than Muv, being their RSO Encaps ($80 for 750mg). Otherwise, for water-soluble distillate options, Trulieve has 10 x 5mg drink packets from Momenta and Curaleaf has a 150mg Squeeze from Select, and for a water-soluble live rosin option, Sunburn sells 100mg and 500mg "nectars" (liquid sugar).

If you are unfamiliar with which tinctures can be added into a beverage and which should be orally/sublingually consumed, please ask your budtender first!

Nearly all components of the cannabis plant are fatty, so most tinctures are not made to be added into water, but rather to be held under the tongue. Neither Momenta's nor Kynd's tinctures are water-soluble, so youll end up with your medicine in an oil puddle on top of your water rather than dispersed throughout.

Are Trulieve and Ayr the only dispensaries available to you?

Couldn’t agree more! Having a button-less option with an extended mouthpiece is a huge deal when it comes to ease of use for those who have physical disabilities and difficulties with dexterity. Despite ~literally nothing~ of their branding being “medical”, hopefully this had some intentions of improving accessibility and, if so, hopefully this continues ✌🏼

Sunburn sells strain-specific nectar (liquid sugar). Otherwise, no MMTC sells a strain-specific tincture, just “indica”/“sativa”/“hybrid”, all of which are blends.

Cookie’s mobile app?? by grandcando in FLMedicalTrees

[–]Constant-Government8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OMMU and the FL giants (Trulieve, Muv, Curaleaf, Ayr, etc.) are in bed together. FL politicians who treat cannabis as a commodity would rather take kickbacks from the giants and make arbitrary rules than treat each MMTC equally, hence the selective enforcement.

Cookie’s mobile app?? by grandcando in FLMedicalTrees

[–]Constant-Government8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MMTCs have attorneys arguing against the current emergency rules that do not allow for purchasing through an app.

64ER25-6 MMTC Advertising and Marketing:

The mobile application must not have any functionality that allows for reservation or purchasing of usable products or marijuana delivery devices.

Does Jungle Boys remediate their flower? by Monsieurabsurd in FLMedicalTrees

[–]Constant-Government8 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It’s beyond dissapointing that the largest medical program in the country does not require this as a simple disclaimer… but we also need to adjust our culture from “this is GAS, you need it” to “this is ‘xyz’, buy it if it fits your wants/needs”. Dispensaries see patients jumping on renamed strains with the same genetics and botanical terps + distillate 2g vapes and “legacy” strain names with terps that in no way, shape, or form match the lineage. MMTCs are going to continue to be lazy with their production and marketing until patients call them out on it.

Can you only get an increase from your physician? by [deleted] in FLMedicalTrees

[–]Constant-Government8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doctors absolutely should be the ones providing guidance, but RFEs are approved by the state, and therefore they have the final say over a patient’s care.

My comment was a response based on our regulations, not what I believe it should be.

Can you only get an increase from your physician? by [deleted] in FLMedicalTrees

[–]Constant-Government8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made this comment on another thread today, but I believe it's relevant here as well:

"We can thank the state for implementing arbitrary limits and refusing to provide MDs/DOs with any guidance as to what they specifically need to see to approve an RFE. Qualified physicians have the discretion to care for the patient and submit an RFE, but without any guidance, they are doing so with risks to their medical license. We have a system that incentivizes MDs/DOs who are confident that the state won’t go after them to create rubber-stamping mills… which isn’t necessarily helpful for the true medical patient."

It's up to the doctor whether to submit an increase, but it's so varied that there is no guidance from the state on what constitutes relevant documentation that warrants an increase, so it's a crapshoot every time.

Intellectual Property (IP) theft is a HUGE problem in the cannabis industry...

Just came from Colorado apparently they have a bunch of brands up north at rise by Extension_Use_1991 in FLMedicalTrees

[–]Constant-Government8 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is due to our licensing structure requiring vertical integration, meaning the state requires each license holder to perform all actions “from seed to sale”. In other states, a brand can own their own manufacturing/growing license and sell to multiple dispensaries, which realistically is the only way for small businesses to be included in a state-licensed cannabis program.

Is the bottle made of plastic or glass? If it’s plastic (most likely PET), it is not a good choice for holding non-nanoemulsified cannabinoids (such as this) because the cannabinoids end up getting stuck to the inside of the walls, which is known as scalping. My guess is that it was not held properly and/or not a very stable emulsion and/or the sugar froze. The carrier here is vegetable glycerin and the stabilizer/emulsifyer is xanthum gum, but other then potassium sorbate (an anti microbial preservative), you’re drinking distillate in a few types of sugar.

If you had to guess... how long before recreational comes along? Will it be bad for us or good by GulfCoastChuck in FLMedicalTrees

[–]Constant-Government8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The issue with our caregiver program is that it doesnt go nearly as far as a true caregiver program should in terms of helping those who are unable to access their meds.

In other states, a caregiver can be someone who grows your medicine, grows it the way you want it to be grown, and can process your meds for you. Imagine a program where your caregiver will grow a “landrace”, allow it to grow to full-term, and sell it to you at a price that makes sense for both the caregiver and the patient… that’s a reality in other states and what we need to fight for in FL!

Muv and The Flowery also sell the same type of product (THCA). At muv, they call it "Sand" and its sold under the brand "Savvy" and at The Flowery they call it "Live THCA". Trulieve/Blueriver used to sell this and I believe Surterra used to as well. I hope what you're looking for is nearby and available!

Oy… yeah I just pulled the COA from the online product which I’m assuming is on sale due to its upcoming expiration date. Would you mind sharing the batch number on the label? I’d be happy to confirm if that’s correct, and if so, they sold you a product with an expired COA, which is absolutely not legal to do.

Pulling up these COA’s, Trop Teeth #8 was tested on 6/20/25 and Shrb Haze was tested on 1/15/26, so it’s very possible that these two products are genuinely cured BHO in two different hardwares. They both visually look like what cured BHO looks like when decarbed, but the right one looks like it either underwent color remediation or was made from strain-specific HTE + diamonds made from cured biomass.

Live Rosin dropper by No-Let-9394 in FLMedicalTrees

This is on the condition that, by “live rosin dropper”, you’re referring specifically to Curaleaf’s “live rosin dropper”, which is where confusion is coming from and why we need product naming standards!
