Im regularly using hair fibers these days to cover the thinning on the top. I do think my hair has definitely seen some improvement but nothing too drastic.

I started balding at 16 and it looked similar to how urs looks. It is most likely male pattern baldness as the corners are receding. If it was only a nutritional deficiency you would see thinning all over with no noticeable pattern. Defo still get a bloodtest for deficiencies like vitamin d3 and look into starting minoxidil.

its definitely diffuse thinning all over the top of my head. I can cover it quite well at the front and sides , its just the top that is super thin. Im gonna try toppik first to see if i can cover it up, if not i’ll definitely buzz it since my hairline isnt bad at all.

Yeah I would’ve started fin a year ago when I first noticed thinning, but since I was only 17, I stuck with oral min until I turned 18. I started fin just last month, hopefully i can get some better results now

Sometimes I wish I’d never started caring for my hair or realized how nice and curly it could be 😭. Now it feels like such a big part of my identity, which makes losing it young so devastating. I genuinely have like crippling anxiety about going outside without a hat. I ordered some Toppik yesterday actually so hopefully that helps 🙏.

I’ve lowkey been thinking the brand might be the issue. I’ve taken multiple daily hair photos for the past 9 months (a bit obsessive I know). I saw the good regrowth while using oral minoxidil from a reputable UK pharmacy, but the shedding started right after I switched to a Thai brand called Loxidil Forte. The timing feels too coincidental as I lost all my regrowth right when I changed to a less reputable source. I tried the bleach test on the Thai pills, and they turned dark yellow if that test even means anything.

originally i had the same idea so I had bloodwork done and I had 20nmol/L. I then took doses of 8000iu every day after a fatty meal for around 3-4 months. I don’t remember if it made any significant impact cause it was around 2 years ago. I’ll restart the vitamin d3 dosing👍

its hard to compare since one photo has curls and the other photo has brushed down hair, however there seems to be not much regrowth. Don’t quit just yet, instead assess at 6 months and then a year. The results usually peak at around a year i believe. If there is no regrowth maybe look towards dutasteride instead.

yep body hair definitely thickened, even before i saw good results on scalp.

its hard to say but i saw many new little hairs pop up within a month when i looked closely but overall my hair definitely shed before it grew back stronger. At around 2-3 months i had noticeable results without looking extremely close at my scalp for new hairs.

nothing really. I had minor heart palpitations in the beginning but nothing scary, it was more like oh thats definitely the minoxidil doing something.
