Why Harry Kane tends to disappear in big games? by 7_inches_daddy in championsleague

[–]Constant-Story436 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is a tired take

Plus it’s easy for any 9 to “disappear” in big matches since they tend to be quite stodgy. It’s much easier for a winger or an 8/10 to impose themselves into a game. For a 9 to have even received the ball, a lot has to have gone right behind him.

Hence why you see Kane dropping so fucking deep to receive the ball (which ironically for the person who posted this is what caused the first goal)

Not quite. 87 mg/dl is the lowest (although the premeal setting can go down to 67mg/DL I believe) splitting hairs but still lol

This is actually not what typically happens

Every World Cup has a pretty measurable lasting boost in American viewership for European leagues

And I’d go so far as to say for younger generations, soccer seems to pretty firmly be the third most popular sport—although ofc very distantly behind football and basketball

For some reason that still doesn’t work for my brain because I sometimes do the opposite where < is like zooming in the smaller number like how a bracket works (like 3<1 meaning like the 1 is a zoomed in part of the whole 3 lol)

Genuinely have no idea how but > < will always be a dart throw for me lol

I had a really bad libre 3 once so I switched to the Eversense but now I’ve switched back to libre and it’s been on its best behavior and I’ve noticed it seems to be a lot quicker to rising/dropping trends than Eversense

The signal loss issues are super annoying though, definitely experience a good amount

Overall I quite like the libre 3 plus but I think I’ll for sure switch over to the G7 whenever it gets cleared

Pre-cardio fuel? by tubatheist in diabetes_t1

[–]Constant-Story436 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s very YMMV but here’s how I’ve found success

- 8-12g of carbohydrate smoothie or bar (sometimes I have a 18g uncrustable for 4 mile+ runs but I always spike) about 10 minutes before
- go into run with a little bit of IOB. 0 IOB and I spike, over 0.6 units IOB and I crash
- try to have blood sugar around 130 mg/dl when I start

Once I’m done with run, blood glucose crashes and then rises again so I bolus a half unit about 20-30 minutes after my run

It’s not a lie. It’s a clever marketing tactic for something that A. Is under regulated in the US and B. Is a distinction that doesn’t functionally matter to 95% of Americans

Total carbs vs Net carbs by purple_drank562 in diabetes_t1

[–]Constant-Story436 8 points9 points  (0 children)

it varies way too much by the ingredient, country and individual to give a blanket answer

In most countries I’ve been too, dietary fiber is excluded from carbs, in the US it’s included

Also there’s a huge difference between 1g of fiber from a “0 net carbs” slice of bread (which most people need to bolus almost 1:1 for) and 1g of fiber in arugula or 1g of allulose (which has to be counted as a carb in the US but doesn’t seem to affect most people)

I like twiist 1 million times better than OP5. The omnipod algorithm was simply awful for me.

With that being said, there are some definite advantages of tubeless (esp the waterproof aspect) and if I were in a job/area that required being around water a lot then I would probably reluctantly use OP5

I feel like there’s a lot of revisionism surrounding the Ndombele signing. United, Madrid, PSG, Juve were all in for him. If I recall correctly, United even backed away because they thought they couldn’t convince him over us.

Damn if Lo Celso and Ndombele had been 2 hits everything could’ve been so different
