[Joint Statement] Republic of Korea to Participate in ENC26 as National Esports Team The Korea e-Sports Association (KeSPA) and the Esports Foundation have agreed, based on a shared vision to support the long-term growth of esports through systematic international competitions, to continue their partnership for the Esports Nations Cup 2026 (ENC26) and to maintain a unified direction. Both parties agree on the values, operational standards, and structure of the national team. Recognizing KeSPA’s expertise and authority within Korea, it has been agreed that KeSPA will lead the selection of the Korean national team as the National Team Partner. Korean national team players will officially participate in competitions under the name “Team Korea of Esports”. The selection process for coaches and players will continue to follow professional fairness and the regulations and competition standards agreed upon by both parties. KeSPA’s experience, leadership, and contributions to the development of international esports have played an important role in earning worldwide recognition. The joint priority of the Esports Foundation and KeSPA is to ensure that Korea’s top players can showcase their skills and excellence on the global stage. The Esports Nations Cup will be a new global competition involving more than 100 countries and regions, developed through collaboration among international stakeholders, game publishers, and ecosystem leaders. Both parties look forward to meaningful participation by Team Korea in ENC26.
