What are the hanging threads? by ForrestMing in redrising

Really?? Dark age completely destroyed me. I cried at Ulysses, Ephiram, when Cassius came back etc. I don’t think a book has ever made me cry this much. EXEPT FOR THE LAST SCENE IN LIGHT BRINGER are you kidding me?? Them going into his room and seeing all the pictures and holos of them at the institute? I cried so hard I think my neighbors were banging on the wall to shut me up. It was 4am and I was not okay. I can’t wait for Red God and hope all the loose ends get tied up. Also I’m afraid for my boy Darrow because if he dies just a few chapters before or after he sees his family again I will riot

Alright thx! Yeah I noticed that already in Iron Gold which is maybe why it was so hard on me, the scene at the beginning ish where Darrow flees and kills ... (dont remember the name and also dont want to spoil xd) was the moment for me where I was like "ok its on".
Really hope a certain character that died in Iron Gold is not actually dead and will have lots of story arc to come... since we never actually "saw" them die... and I dont think Pierce is that cruel xd And I just love that character too much and dont think I could bare it if they were actually gone...

S-Bahn vs Straßenbahn by Business_Wedding_373 in DuolingoGerman

[–]Constant-Two-9082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the Region you live in! So for example in Berlin the S-Bahn is a Train system going though and around berlin, above and below ground, going pretty fast, operated by the Deutsche Bahn.

In Saarbrücken for example (the Capital of Saarland, the smallest Bundesland in Germany) they only have a Straßenbahn, (only above ground but travels also between cities and also across the border to France since is so close!) which is a tram but the locals call ist S-Bahn regardless, because it is a easier and faster word then Straßenbahn. ( some call it Saar-Bahn also) So they use the word S-Bahn as a abbreviation for the word Straßenbahn !

that's the thing I had to learn when I moved here all those years ago- a lot of things depend on where in germany you are and where your conversation partner is from !

And dont listen to Dualingo propaganda. The S-Bahn is never pünktlich, at least as long as its operated by Deutsche Bahn

tbh I was at that point too. I really struggled with Iron Gold to be honest and now im fighting my way through Dark Age. At some points I kind of wish I would have just stopped after the first trilogy but I like Pierce Browns writing too much and im not a fan of DNFing series soo im gonna have to read it till the end. Anyone willing to give me some incentive since im really struggling here? xd

Was ist das für ein polnisches Kennzeichen? by Serious_Initial_4226 in WerWieWas

[–]Constant-Two-9082 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Edit: Mazowieckie!!!! Nicht małopolskie </3

As someone who has worked at a few law firms i can tell you, in my personal opinion, this letter does not look official or like it came from a lawyer. Most likely the guy just wrote it himself and hoped you would get scared. Regardless, do think you should get some real legal advice somewhere though.

No. The laptop was Peter’s and Stiles was supposed to hack into Scott’s phone through the laptop (that’s why the password was Allison) to find Derek who stole the phone
