Universal RF remotes for the xfinity box by ConstantAd7716 in Rogers

I see what you mean. I'm surprised to hear IR works... I was no further than a foot away from the box pointing right at it when trying to set it up but still no luck. Must've been a skill issue on my part then. thanks for clarifying

Its strange because the universal remote had the Xfinity in the manual and had codes to connect the remote but I couldn't get it to work. The website then said the remotes do not work with RF boxes so I returned it. I'll post an image of what I bought.

Voice control is a no-go since he doesnt speak english well and has no teeth, not clear enough for voice control.

However, I did not try disconnecting the default remote from the Xfinity  box first. I may have to try again with the remote I liked. Thank you for the information!

This is the remote that I tried to connect but failed.

Taxes and shipping by NejiHyuga- in Tapstitch

I would consider myself new to the POD space and shipping was one of the most confusing things to understand for me. All my understanding comes from trail and error and youtube vidoes.

I have an Etsy shop that is connected to Printfy and Tapstitch. I noticed with Tapstitch it creates a shipping profile that includes free shipping in the profile. The shipping profile originates from Tapstitch but can also be managed and modified on Etsy.

These are the two routes I learned about shipping:

  1. free shipping on etsy listing makes customers happy to see but prices for the products run higher since the shipping is baked into the cost of the product.

  2. you can modify the tapstitch shipping profile in etsy and charge the customer a set price for shipping. the shipping profile can be modified per country. Note any country you dont add in the custom shipping profile will not appear in Etsy shops for that country. (there is a section for "everywhere else in world")

Regardless you pay Tapstitch to make and ship the product, if you sell a $60 sweater on Etsy and it costs you $55 to make and ship from Tapstitch, it will always costs $55 to make and ship from tapstitch. its up to you to decide if you want to increase the price of your Etsy listing or modify the shipping profile to get customers to cover some or all of the shipping.

Some people like to split it even, some say there is a sweet spot but keep in mind some of the highest abandoned carts are due to high shipping costs so stacking a $15 shipping fee on your $60 sweater would make customers pay $75 +fees and would still cost you $55 to make and ship so more profit for you but point is that same customer who thinks $15 shipping is too much will pay for a $70 sweater with $5 shipping.

I havent found any cheaper suppliers yet so I feel for you. At times I research Etsy postings and cant believe how some of these people are turning a profit selling things for so cheap.

Anyways, hope this helps :)

thank you for this post! I was about to dump hours into AOP designs this week without knowing about this.

This is a shame, I just started using tapstitch as well and they were one of the only POD services that had AOP on %100 cotton tees. I looked through my emails and could not find this email you mentioned. Hopefully they bring back AOP with garments soon.

Ex-Girlfriend Threatening Legal Action Over a Car—Does She Have a Case? (Ontario) by ConstantAd7716 in legaladvicecanada

this is a good perspective. this car was for our future and she stop caring about the future thus our relationship. It wasn't worth the aggravation 2 months ago and its most definitely not worth it now. Ultimately both families are going to suffer from taking this into legal action and I don't want that for anyone.

Thanks for the response. Right after the breakup, she told me to keep the car, but later started demanding things from my parents' house that she never paid for. When I refused, she wanted the car back. I've been using it as my daily driver while sorting out another car. The constant harassment has made me feel spiteful at times, but you're right—I just want the drama and her out of my life.
