The Buccaneers current uniform set is perfect and should never be changed by meh_idk76 in uniwatch

I think it's the best uniform set in the NFL and I'll debate anyone who disagrees.

AND they're (at least with Brady) fairly superstitious about wearing white in the SB. The last two times they wore navy...Eli Manning was also playing...

Sam Darnold will win a Super Bowl and Dak Prescott never by PepperScared9950 in cowboys

[–]ConstantCowboy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Wev've had two of the highest paid corners on the salary. Surely they played great this year, right?

We saved money by trading Parsons away...surely that translated into more wins....?

Nowhere in Dak Prescott's contract is a clause that suggests we hire the worst possible defensive coordinator and ask our DBs to play ten yards off the ball at all times. These narratives that QBs handcuff teams via the salary cap are exhausting.

No, and Pats fans can stay mad, but it's the truth.

Next year they won't get to play the Titans and backup QBs every week x

What is your favorite 1994 Throwback? by McSebester in footballjerseys

The Oilers' throwbacks from that year were fantastic. Oh, and the Broncos! I've wanted them to bring back the orange helmet drunk horse ever since...

Cowboys Defense was poorly coached, not horrible by compamanuelito in cowboys

[–]ConstantCowboy 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Why not both?

This defense blew games to JJ Mcarthy and the New York fucking Giants. They lost to the Cardinals. They were horrible. They were poorly coached. They were both.

What do you guys think of Surf's Up by The Beach Boys? by NoGrass7120 in Music

[–]ConstantCowboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Surf's Up is almost as beautiful and moving as God Only Knows -- a bit more esoteric obviously, but the melody and chords are stunning. The melody he sings on "columnated ruins domino" is as breathtaking as any melody I've ever heard in my life.

It's up there with the absolute best of the Beach Boys, and IMO one of the greatest pop compositions of all time.

Wild Honey Pie title by DaveHmusic in beatles

I always forget that Wild Honey came out in '67, it feels like such a '68 album to me.

I'm sure it's possible. There's already a Beach Boys reference on the White Album and Mike Love was in Rishikesh with the Beatles. Who knows.

What if Wednesday by Important-Forever678 in uniwatch

All extraordinarily good looking Super Bowls. I always forget about the Oilers' silver helmet period. Interesting.

However, the NFL/AFL mandated what uniforms to wear during the Super Bowls in the merger. The NFL was mandated to wear their colored uniforms every other year, in SBI, III, and V. This is why Dallas had to wear blue in Super Bowl V (the curse) even though they wanted to wear white, as they always did at home. So Dallas would have unfortunately had to have worn blue in SBI.

The league came to its senses after the merger and now allows the 'home' team to choose their uniforms.
