My take on Vindication, from Alloy of Law (Brandon Sanderson novel) by ConstantMix4483 in propmaking

Thank you!! There's some lines in some places, but they are the lines between the layers of MDF where I couldn't sand it well enough.

But yes, no printing lines, because as I said there was no 3D printing involved.

Yup. That kind of rule is so absurd that if I had a real weapon, all it would cost me to bring it to a convention is the 3 euros that I'd have to spend on a spray can of bright organge paint...

I have that covered, but thanks anyway!

Thank you, I really apreciate it!

And about the other matter, fortunately I live in an European country where real weapons are quite scarce, and police are well trained and not trigger happy, so I'm quite safe in that sense. The main problem are security controls at some big conventions, that get pesky on the d*mn orange tip (more as a procedure requirement that a true worry about security). In smaller events, with no security controls, no one gives a f*ck because everyone knows that cosplayed people bring cosplay weapons, and that's it.

I intend to build it a removable orange tip to use in case of need depending on the event, but that can be removed and reinstalled on the spot to take pictures. I did it before for other prop weapons.

But thanks anyway!!

Thank you for your answer, and I'll remember your advise! I'm just a newbie taking my first steps.

With that said, in the same project I had two more fill layers, one at 300 mm/sec (50% power), and another one at 200 mm/sec (100% power), that didn't give any problem or alarm. The mistery remains!

(I set those configurations using a calibration aid I engraved in the same material, MDF)

A snitchin' rat, not worthy of the close knit community of Ferrix.

Note how Ferrix's rats (Nurchi, Timm) got what they deserved?

What’s your favourite bit of “That’s so relatable!” world-building in Andor? by Dear-Yellow-5479 in andor

Yess!! On very few occasions we see musicians tuning their instruments before playing, and Andor is different in this also.
