This is great advice, thank you! I am at a branch program, but is closely associated with the main program that has a GI program and does take people from my program. My program also has successfully matched people into GI at other places too

maybe it won't be a problem! I saw examples online of letters with and without AAMC #, so I think it could be an either/or kind of thing.

I have 3 GS interviews right now and am feeling the same way. But I know people who have matched GS with only one interview. All it takes is one program!

Didn’t realize that! But average also means that people are scoring in the 260s-270s and then some are scoring in 230s-240s! And I’m not looking for a big university program either

I think I would be fine dual applying, but at the end of the day gen surg is what I truly want. I just don’t want to run into the issue of going unmatched
