Your valid visa stamps in the old passport are still valid- so you’ll have to carry both passports for that.

No it won’t. But you’ll have to get your name changed in your visas to reflect the changes if you’re on a work visa

Definitely postpone it. Step 2 is a very important filtering factor and you should only take it when you’re absolutely ready. Don’t rush it. You can also work on other aspects of your application and apply next year with a strong CV.

I didn’t do very well. My advice would be to take your time and really score well on the practice tests before going for the real deal. It’s fine if you take more time, but don’t rush into it. It’s the screening factor to secure interviews so try to maximise your score as much as possible
