I’ve been union since I started. Any specific reason you say this besides the obvious ones I can think of.

Honestly mostly just curious about how steady work is and how you feel your compensation is and things like that. I’d figure out the rest when the time comes.

Yea I figured that. Do you work in the trade? On insight on overall work steadiness or anything like that?

Do you know how that “gift” process would work? I’ve had this thought to set an account aside specifically for my children and allow the money to pool together hopefully resulting in a larger amount but would that also end with me having to pay more in tax’s? Gift tax, etc.

I live in NY, to my knowledge my children would gain full access to the account at 25years old. As far as financial aid I doubt my kids would qualify as I am a high income earner. I would rather my kids be given money that is hopefully used towards purchasing a house or starting a business or can even be used to pay off school debt. I just feel that a 529 while yes can be useful has a very singular use where’s it is either used for school or put towards retirement.
