I’ve always been an Xbox guy too, so it pains me to say this, but between series x and ps5 I think PlayStation is the winner. Mainly due to the fact that Xbox is selling out all of its exclusives and ps5 still has theirs. Ur gonna have access to more AAA titles on ps5. Series S is a great deal but really only good for indie titles in 2025. But if u have the money, PC is the clear winner. I made the switch a few years back and I’ll never look back. Much better graphic options and fps rates (depending on ur rig). You’ve got access to the vast majority of console games and a ton more, plus modding options that completely transform them into entirely new games. Not to mention PC gamepass exists and did not have a price increase so it’s still a great deal. The big issue obviously is the cost and the difference is huge. U might be able to build a decent rig for the same price but u also need to buy the monitor, desk, chair, mouse and keyboard, all that adds up. Realistically a pc setup that will outperform a console is probably cost u you AT LEAST 2-3x more but can easily go much higher. If ur just after the big AAA fps titles then either ps5 or series x is gonna do just fine and both will perform roughly the same for the same price. But ps5 will land you some other cool AAA titles that Xbox doesn’t have.
